| Christmas tree scare! Yesterday I came home from shopping and my Christmas tree was laying across the floor, still in the stand, with ornaments smashed all over the floor. The first thing I thought of was that Mac & Mellie hadn't done their usual great us at the door dance. I was so scared to lift the tree thinking what I would find underneath. Thank God, they were hiding in the family room the noise must have scared them. The tree is big and there is no way they knocked it over. Now it is secured to the wall with wire. Please everyone check your trees and make sure that they cannot topple over. This could have wound up being a very tragic accident and a horrible Christmas. This has NEVER happened to me before, and we are still trying to figure out how the tree fell. The only important thing is my babies are safe now.

| I am so glad to hear that your babies are safe that would be scary, I remember a couple of years ago on Christmas morning my sister got down on her knees and crawled behind the tree to get a present that was in the very back and the tree fell over on her, once we saw that she was ok we laughed forever, so we had our christmas tree down before christmas was even over!

| Thank God your babies weren't hurt!! I know you must have been scared spitless! It still could've been so much worse ... I am always terrified that Toto will lick something that's on the floor like a sharp object, a wire twist tie, etc. They had a big angel watching over them!!

| A bit scarey I think I have the only tree with a x-pen around. Yep you heard me right. I had to put it around it to keep Herk from getting into something he shouldn't. He went wild when I put it up. |

| I am so glad your babies are okay. It is best to put your yorkies up where they cannot get into anything. I crate mine - they have their donut pillow, food/water, favorite blanket pad, and safe toy. I'd rather be safe than sorry. Some of my friends put children gates up across the kitchen and make sure everything is put up put of their reach. T. P.S. I didn't put them up one time - to take a walk around my block, when I came back the toliet paper was across the floor - through the whole house, magazines knocked off the coffee table, and my antique handpainted table was peed on (on the top of it) and on the antique clock that was on it. So no more full range of the house when mommy is gone. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I'm so glad everything was OK! Last year our tree fell 2 times!! And the only thing that broke was my great-grandma's ornament. So glad Mac and Mellie were alright!

| I've had a tree fall over, it is so scary and just makes so much more work. It's a good idea to crate them, I've been leaving them in the den with the tree, better rethink that idea. |

| Mine fell three times last year and during the last fall I ran out and purchased a new tree stand.. Do you have the kind of stand that turns to make the tree straighter?? That is the one I had to through out!!
