And I made button holes so his water bottle does not have to be covered.

Looking online they are so very expensive... I couldn't even really find one that I liked and I don't think any were small enough for the kennel we have. It really was pretty easy although I'm sure I did everything the wrong way so that anyone who knows what they are doing would have thrown a fit... but it still turned ok. I'm most impressed that it actuall fit!... I think its a bit long which is an easy fix with a flip of the hem... Maybe one day I'll get to that... I had enough of the machine for today!

Good job! I never thought of making a cover that actually fit! I have a fleece blanket tossed over that does the job, though not a patttern I'd pick for decor reasons. I might have to consider making something...I'd love to make it pink and girly for Maggie, but I guess she REALLY wouldn't care....I suppose I could make something to blend in with my sofa (which it's next too). Mine has one side that doesn't go all the way down, I figure they need some air.

| Very cool! I just drape a giant blanket over their crate to make it more cave-like. I love your cover! Great job

Thank you all! In response to Maggie... I thought about dressing it up... If max was a girl I could definently add some flare to it... However I'm not sure how to do it for a boy without making it girly. I think I may try to embroider his name on it other than that I'm clueless... Next up... I think I'll try to make a crate bed to match since I bought WAY too much fabric and can't seem to find one that will fit.
