| ![]() hi all, i have a 7yr old yorkie girl....i have only owned her for 2 yrs (rescue) and in all the dogs i have had over the yrs this is the only one that don't seem to drink much!!!... i can leave her water bowel full in the morning an the next day is still full...she may only have a few slurps a day....anyone else notice there yorkie don't drink much...she is a classic yorkie normal size....she is full of life an very happy but just don't drink much even in the summer...very puzzling...the vet says shes ok but i find its strange |

| ![]() Some days Tibbe barely seems to drink anything and others quite a bit, especially after a bath or if taking medicine.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | ![]() Hi and welcome to Yorkietalk, what do you feed, dry kibble or canned? Many dogs don't need much water if they are eating canned; the food is 90% water. Same is true with fresh food, even food like chicken has a lot of water in it.

| ![]() hi thanks for replys, my baby has dry mixed with a bit tinned meat but at the moment is on chicken and rice as she has had the runs the past 2 days, so starved her for 24 hrs an now chicken and rice...she great in her self just poo bit runny but getting better.....xx |

| ![]() mine stopped drinking water out of a bowl??? Vet's stymied... I have to mix water with her kibble morning and night (she gets 6oz a day that way) |
