I am glad your daughter's friend is taking her and she will have another yorkie playmate. I know it was a hard decision and you are putting your puppies interests first!

Sometimes things just don't work out the way we plan. I think you did the right thing. I'm sure your pup will be much happier not being left alone for that long and having another yorkie to play with.

that is exactly why we should not be giving pets as gifts. the person has to have time for them, and the gift giver has no idea what time someone has or doesn't have. also how do they know what type of dog suits some one else?

Your dog will be fine home all day. Don't give your wee Yorkie away just yet. After I got Teegy fully house broken I got him a friend to keep him company.
Most of us work all day too.
