Will not give me AKC papers We perched a expensive Yorkie with the codation that we would not get the AKC papers untill we had her spaded. We had her spaded and sent the brearder the proff of spad and she replad she would send them as soon as she had time! That was two monts ago. She will not communicate with us after Manley request. What should I do? |

:welcome4: :yorkietal :welcome4: Welcome to YorkieTalk - hopefully others will give you more ideas about dealing with the breeder. |
Yes, I agree. But two months is a long time. She should already have them. Not sure what the hold up would be. I would also try to communicate thru email so that you have a paper trail. That may help you move things along and get the papers sooner. |
I'm sorry your breeder is not cooperating. Did you sign a contract? Welcome to Yorkie Talk. |
Lots of people don't care if they get papers if they aren't planning to breed or show, I'm glad that you are insisting on papers. She sold you a dog that was supposedly AKC eligible, and that's what you should get. Insisting on papers helps keeps breeders honest and makes it harder for them to cheat. |

Yeah right!!! as an ex-breeder I had people tell me that they had bought a yorkie that was suppose to be registered yet 2 years later they have yet to recieve the papers. If you didn't see the papers when you bought your yorkie your breeder probaly didn't have papers in the first place. I wish you the best of luck in getting your AKC paper work, you may have to go to small claims court to get some of your $ back I wish you all the best |
I'm not a breeder but I don't understand why she didn't give you the AKC papers you have to mail in when you purchased her. I believe there is an area on the paper work that the breeder darkens in and states limited registration. Doesn't limited registration mean you have to have the puppy fixed but still able to participate in AKC obedience shows just not breed classes. I thought if you didn't get the paper work with the puppy at time of purchase then the puppy would still belong to the breeder. |

If the breeder doesnt give you the papers I would take her to small claims court and get some of your purchase price back. You have done everything you were supposed to do. |
If you don't have everything in writing, then it's all just your word, which wouldn't hold up in a court of law. I'm sorry you are going thru this but it doesn't sound like that breeder was legit! Maybe a reminder to her that you are on a dog board (not telling her which one) that has thousands of viewers from all over the world, and you will put her name out for the world to see. Good luck to you. |

I never received a dog registration application from my breeder. How can I get an application for my dog? Answer: Buyers should not accept a promise that this identification or the registration application will be sent later. It is the buyer’s responsibility to obtain complete identification of the dog as described below. If sufficient information to identify the dog within AKC records is not forthcoming, the buyer should seriously consider not purchasing the dog. |
Her name is Kory Feick, Court Ash. She is from Colorado Springs. The Yorkie is a beautiful dog, Tawny. |
I believe that you need to communicate to her that your side of the agreement has been met and that the AKC papers need to be sent to you asap or a complaint will be filed. I wouldn't mess around any further. She should of had the paperwork there when you picked up your pup. I've got mine for my current litter ready to go and if I didn't I couldn't imaging asking anyone to pay for a full AKC reg pup. |
Courtashyorkies courtashyorkies.com Advertises teacups, doll-faced, apple-heads, and talks a lot about alleged scams by others on the net. |
P.S. Look at the seal on the lower right corner of her website and do a search on it. |
Ugh- I went to this woman's house and it was FILTH! Her dogs were in her living room, hallways, kitchen all in stacked cages. And then there were more in the barn out behind her home. One of her male stud dogs that is the only one that has good bloodlines from Misty Blue only has 3 legs. She was also going to start breeding white Golden Retrievers or Labs or something...Her hired help Mark was drunk and her other male Regan was so matted that the poor boy couldn't move:( She is rude and has no education which is clear in her spelling and grammar. And she feels it necessary to slander other breeders in her area on her webpage that have spoken out against her unethical breeding. I wanted to take all those poor babies out of there:( And she says she lives in Colorado Springs but I PERSONALLY went to her house and its in Calhan CO. |
"I breed females 4 to 8 lbs" Sad! But at least she's honest. |

All I can say is OMG - rediculous sizes and prices!! That woman should be ashamed of herself. I pray someone turns her in and that people who can take better care of all those babies get them. I hate people like that. |
I have had Tawny for 7 months now and she has turned in to a beautiful dog. I can see way we had a hard time at first, if she had been in a cage for a year of her life! She was afraid of everything. Now with a lot of loving care she has become excellent Yorkie. I hope this woman is turned in and shut down! Richard |
re: ugh Well, what's worse is the two women that she is slandering on the homepage of her website are two women that are also breeders. however, they both refused to send their puppies to her after hearing and seeing the conditions in which she keeps them. As far as I know they both refunded her money and refused to do any business with her so she slanders their name. I had asked Kory what was the story with it all, and she said they were scammers for not sending her puppies. I called one of them after leaving there and seeing with my own eyes the filth and asked her side. She said she refused to allow one of her dogs to ever live like that and just refused her a puppy. She said she believes no yorkie ever deserves to be locked up and that Kory had tried calling her a scammer. So I went to her to see her dogs and conditions and what a world of difference! She only had 10 show yorkies compared to Korys 100-150 caged yorkies and they all ran free on the property and followed her everywhere! They ran inside, outside, played with my kids and one even jumped in our car to go for a ride- so I could tell they were used to such things. All had beautiful long groomed coats and the puppies had a whole playground setup. NO KENNELS! I did file a complaint on the Kory woman but I don't know what became of it. |
Did you ever get your papers on her? How old is she? |
@rockymtn- can you pm me the contact info for the other Denver breeder? It's hard knowing which ones to trust and I'd like to ask her if she has any available- I refused to buy one from Kory so I'm still looking....it's nice to hear another yorkie lover talk highly of a local breeder. It helps to weed out the bad one:) |
No papers, she will not return my calls, I have sent her several emails and tried to phone her with no response! Tawny is now 16 months. She is 4 inches square, baby face, straight silky lo g hair with natural part to tip of tail. The only flaw I can see she has is bottom crooked teeth. She does many tricks on demand. All most house trained, what a chore. As you can see we are very happy with Tawny and care less about the papers. I think I will keep bothering her Richard |
8 by 8 not 4 by 4 Richard |
She's probably using her papers on another female to register puppies. She is scandalous. She had told me that the reason that her "top male stud with the impeccable lines" only had 3 legs because his mother had eaten his leg off when he was a puppy...has anyone ever even heard of such a thing? |
