| Newbie here Well I've just picked up my puppy yesterday and just love him to bits. He is just 8weeks old and its my first yorkie. The breeder says he is a miniature yorkie but how do u tell the difference? |

| Hi and welcome to YT. Would love to meet your new baby boy. Seems he should have stayed with his mom for at least 4 more weeks though. Anyway, Yorkies come in different sizes, but there are no "miniature", tea cup and the like. The Yorkie standard would be around 7 pounds fully grown. Hard to say how much a young puppy will weigh when it's grown. I have four, and none are the size that was predicted.
