| Congrats on your new fur baby! Sounds like you will be having tons of fun. We found that if you take them lots of different places when they are young (should work for older dogs too I would think), they get used to seeing other people, hear new sounds, and become very social in public and private. We did this with our mini Schnauzers, our mixed breed, and will do so with Princess Sophie!! Good luck, what a cutie pie!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Congratulations. I have 3 yorkies all females and they get along fine. They all accepted each other when I brought a new one home. They are all pretty mellow girls. Pixie and Roxie are real close and once in awhile when they were younger they would gang up on Cali. Nothing bad though. They did tend to bond with each other more so than when I only had one. But they all come for snuggle time. I just separated the new puppy when I couldn't watch them until I knew they all got along. But really they all accepted the new one right away.

| thanks everyone so much! this made me feel so much better about getting a second one! only yt members truly understand, and thanks for the suggestion of seperating them, i think i will pick up some baby gates tomorrow, my first yorkie had someone home with her day and night for her first 6 months, now shes home alone 4 days a week for 5 hrs, sometimes less..she dealt with it very well...im just not too sure how the puppy will deal with being alone that long, he will be so little...im hoping he will be a little lazier than meesha and sleep while i work and not get into any trouble lol and yes i will post photos, i am dying to see what he looks like with his eyes opened and little furryer |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Hi I have 5 in total have just added 2 more from my little girls litter they are only 8 weeks old so are in the pen with there litter mates at the moment till they fully house trained, they all get on really well although Merlin doesn't like pups he's a big baby and doesn't have much to do with them until they are at least 4 month old he's not nasty he just snubs them lol but Molly 2 at the time took to Milo great within the first seconds of walking in the door she was all over him and playing. Milo who is 8 month plays with the pups great to he is so gentle have been really proud of him the past couple of weeks. I also found it easier to train Molly and Milo as they watched Merlin so fingers crossed it goes the same for Mickey and Minnie. Good luck you will have great fun the more the better.

YT 1000 Club Member | Well, one thing is apparent, that being... You have been infected with Yorkieitus ! This condition is HIGHLY contagious on this Forum, and many of us are inflicted. You should start saving your money right away, set your home up for repeated additions, don't throw any of their Toys, Harness or other items away, since they can be used for new arrivals in the future. CONGRADULATIONS !
