| Expecting a Yorkie! Hello all! Fellow Yorkie lover here, and I am looking to become a Yorkie mom in June. I have been doing a lot of research about the breed and about specific breeders. This site has been a big help in narrowing down my search, but I am still in the research stage and have not made any final decisions about where I am going to buy my Yorkie. My family owned a Yorkie in the past, but now that I am off on my own, I am really looking forward to a pup of my own. I know how easy it is to get tricked and ripped off by breeders that appear reliable, and thanks to this site I have learned a great deal about who and what to watch out for. Last weekend, I visited Betty, owner of "Yorkies Make Your Heart Smile" in Harrisville, RI, and I was super pleased with my entire experience. Her pups and adult dogs were beautiful, and everything seemed clean and well cared for in her home. Has anyone else done business with her? Also, feel free to suggest any other breeders that you might love. I am open to all the advice! Thanks! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Sorry I don't have any experience of the breeder. We have some great breeders on here that may be able to advise you. Good luck in your search and be sure and post pictures when you get your baby.

I hope you find the perfect furkid, and it sounds like you will. I'm happy to hear your feedback about this site helping you...I know that means the world to a lot of people here whose passion is to help people understand how important it is to choose a breeder wisely. Like lovetodream mentioned, did you go to YTCA.org and check the list of breeders?

| Thanks so much, everyone! Lovetodream and Wylie's Mom: Thanks for the advice. I did check out YTCA.org, but I have found that some breeders do not get back to me, or are too far away. But luckily, I think I have settled on a good breeder! Also, I REALLY could use some cute female names suggestions. So far, I like Jenna, Daisy, and Fiona, but I really can't decide! I am also a huge book nerd and movie buff so I think it would be cool to name her after a famous character, but again, I can't decide. Anyway, this whole process is so much fun! |
