I paid 100€ for each of mine from a reputable breeder,and even then we had to think about it lol.

Lol if only you knew, when you see a yorkie priced under 1k here in the states you start to wonder whether they cut corners, I definitely become automatically suspicious. It's like seeing a designer bag at 1/2 price, it will make you flip the bag inside out for eyebrow raised inspection...

Yes, I guess some don't care to talk about it. I was wondering how or what happened but that's ok. Don't want to cause anymore pain. If there's a link somewhere where it's been discussed, I could read it if someone posted it.

Nikii was a he. He was guestimated to be close to 19 years old. He was blind deaf, in kidney failure and had no teeth. I had him 2 1/2 years and he did great until shortly after my husband passed away. He went down hill very quickly. In his final weeks his kidneys failed, he had doggy dementia and would bump into walls and get lost in the house. One day he could no longer stand up and I had to make the very difficult decision to let him go to the Rainbow Bridge. I know Carol his elderly owner and my DH were waiting with open arms for Nikki.

This is what I thought "doll face" meant. My breeder used it and I only thought it ment Princess Sophie had a sweet face. Just goes to show, I'm still learning new stuff every day!! Thanks!!

1k as in $1000!?? Oh wow.So now I´m just surprised that people are able to have more than one lol.

I´m really sorry for your loss..both of your DH and Nikki (sorry I got his gender wrong) He lived a long life,just goes to show how great you looked after him ((hugs))

I also prefer a yorkie with a shorter snout, but like with all good things some breeders want to take things to an extreme and i now see yorkies with snouts that look almost inverted like a pekinese or that style of dog. To me that look is not what I would want and those yorkies that have that look also seem to have the buggy eyes and that is a sign of a yorkie that is not well bred. There are also breeder web sites where some of the images of the face have been photo shopped into that doll/apple face look because I guess they feel people must want yorkies with flat faces To me the teddy bear face is sort of a combination of a short snout and a round face. I also think that look can be achieved by grooming the dogs face into a angle or wedge type of cut which is I how I groom Lola.
