| New Mom!! Hello, all! My name is Sara, and last week I acquired a female "Yorkie mix" (although a friend told me she is almost positive Louise is a full Yorkie even at 10 pounds). Louise is a rescue, from a local shelter. She was dumped off, left in an outdoor kennel between two large, noisy dogs. Her fur was a mess (feces, mats and gum), her nails were unbelievably long and curved, she had fleas and was in heat. My heart melted. Thankfully, my husband had given me permission to "home trial" a small dog, so I asked to take Louise home. ("home trial" = permenant resident when your "no more pets" husband starts using baby-talk and allows licking of his face) Louise is a perfect little lady, if you overlook the food-guarding, toy-stealing and general bossing she does towards our AmStaff (who take it all in stride..... he, too is besotted by her otherwise gentle and loving nature). I will post before and after pics of Louise in the photo thread shortly............ |

I have one of those "besotted, baby-talking" DH's, too, and two Yorkies...and, your description (attitude) kinda sounds like a 'full' Yorkie to me. But I doubt you will really mind because... I can hardly wait to see her pix...I am absolutely thrilled she found you! Thank you and your melty heart, and congratulations!
