| ![]() You can take her to the vet and get an emergency spay. I would suggest that. She is way to young to be a mom she is still a puppy herself and I doubt her body can take that.

| ![]() I think you need to decide what you WANT TO do first. in other words.... would you spay her ? Or this not an option? Curious what kind of help you are lookin for. I dont want to sound mean when i give my opinion.. but if you really dont want to risk her life, she needs to be spayed. But then again... why do you have two unfixed yorkies in your home? Were your plans to breed? You dont even know if she is pregnant yet, so the best thing to do would be ask your vet if she can be spayed asap How big is she? ANd how big is the male? just curious, although either way, 7 months old is too young. She is still a baby herself ![]() |

| ![]() I personally would spay in this situation unless you are a long experienced breeder. I speak from hard-earned experience of tragic loss. Just don't take the chance - she's far too young, you haven't mentioned the male's size or that of the size of the lineage of either. A huge dog could be in their immediate ancestry and give her so much trouble. And there are such a variety of other reasons not to breed your young female.

| ![]() I have to agree with the others. Even if she is a larger yorkie she is still a puppy. I understand how she could of come in before you had a chance to get her fixed as Kyra came in at 6 months. They really should not be bred their first heat even if older it is to risky for the mom. God bless.

| ![]() Most experienced breeders will never breed a dog during the first heat. It is very dangerous. Have you thought about what you will do if this poor puppy cannot deliver the puppies on her own? C-sections that occur during labor are very dangerous to mom and baby. They are also quite expensive buth is is the only chance the dog has when complications occur. Spaying your dog at this point would be the most responsible and kind thing you can do for your pet. |

| ![]() If it was me, I would get her fixed, if you weren't planning on breeding them why not, just do it now? and if you were planning on breeding I don't understand why they weren't kept apart as anyone that breeds knows to not allow any mating until she is at least 2 yrs. old and has been thru a couple of heats. Believe me, as someone who has had an unplanned litter, it can be much more than you expect both financially and emotionally. Leave the breeding up to the folks with the experince and enjoy your dogs as much loved pets. |

| ![]() Please talk to your vet about the situation. Spaying now would be in her best interest because she is still growing herself. It isn't healthy or safe for her to have puppies yet.

| ![]() Sure it's safe ask any 15 or 16 year old mother that knew they can not get prego their first time... I mean heck it's always safe for children to have children.

| ![]() I hope you are asking this question because you really are concerned. I believe you are or you wouldn't put yourself out there like this. The answer is what everyone has said in various ways above: your baby is too young so no, it is not safe at all. Please take her to a vet asap and get this taken care of...otherwise, you will most likely lose your baby girl. I know you don't want that.

| ![]() I agree and suggest takin her in for an emergency spay. Your baby is much too young to be a mommy. I'm sure you are concerned and want to do what's best for her.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | ![]() If it were me, I'd get her spayed ASAP. She is still a baby - her body isn't ready for this. It was a mistake that she was allowed around the male while in heat, but why that mistake was made isn't something to dwell on right now. The important thing is to focus on what you *can* do to help your puppy. It is a life and death risk to whelp a litter - EVEN for the most experienced breeders. So much can go wrong, and in one second you could lose a Mama and puppies. Bringing a *life* into this world, whether human or otherwise, is something to be very, very mindful and mature about. Though birth is natural...so are all the things that go wrong during birth. Where are you leaning? Are you willing to have her spayed? What does your vet say? I know it was probably hard to post this thread. The fact you *did* post it kind of indicates to me that you're scared, and that your conscience might be telling you already that it's just not the right time for this to happen to this little girl. I think it takes courage to ask these tough questions when something like this goes wrong - so I commend you for asking for help / advice.
