| New to Yorkie talk...have 2 Yorkies at home! Hey everyone, My name is Brittany and I've been meaning to join YT for awhile now. Finally I did it! I have two Yorkies. One is a rescue, Sophie, who actually lives with my parents. She is too attached to my mom :-P and she is probly around 5 years. My latest Yorkie is Mia (I pronounce it My-a). Mia is 12 weeks old and is the best thing that has happened to me! I've been dreaming of the day that I finally got a Yorkie puppy. She was my Xmas present to myself :-) So I'm not sure if its the norm but Mia learns super quick. We are still working on potty training (ugh what a nightmare). She likes to poop on my bookshelf. But anyway, do Yorkies just tend to learn tricks fast? I barely even teach her tricks and yet she does what I want her to do. She can sit, stay, beg, roll over, lay, and shake. She also likes going to the vet, will this go away eventually or will she always be happy when she is there?! Thanks for reading :-) |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | So glad you finally joined! WELCOME and congrats on Mya! She sounds adorable, and super smart too. She sounds like she is exceptional in learning tricks fast...I wish mine were like that. What a little turd she is for leaving little turds on YOUR BOOKSHELF!! I think that's a new one for me...but with yorkies, I've learned to expect the unexpected .

| Welcome to YT. Best place to learn about Yorkies and small dogs. (I have a Morkie and have learned so much by reading these posts). Mya sounds like a real cutie. I seem to be finding little deposits in the strangest places also. Not the bookcase yet. It is cold here and she will pee outside but seems to want to poo in the house. To cold to get her butt close to the ground. Have any questions just ask cause there are very help full people on here that are more then willing to help. |

| Welcome and hopefully she will always love to go to the vets. Brandi does the little dog shake and looks so pitiful when she goes to the vet. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Hi and welcome. Your girl sounds like a quick learner. Yorkies are super smart and the earlier you start the more they do there is some great trick books that show you how to do all sorts of tricks and create lots of fun for you and your baby, one thing I found is keep doing tricks short and regular spells so they dont get fed up. All my 3 do tricks without been asked now as soon as you go near the treat tin

| Welcome aboard. Sounds like your little one does catch on quickly. That's a good thing. Now if she could only catch on quick with regards to potty training. Unfortunately, that is something that can take time and much repetition. You're probably in for several months worth of training for that. Good luck. |

| Thanks everyone! Now Mia knows how to wave and the term "up" . And of course she understands "kisses" because all she wants to do is lick our faces! Here are some pictures of my yorkies. And btw, Sophie does not bark. I think she may be one of the only yorkies that never barks...but I'm not complaining. I hope Mia isn't a yapper!
