| Really worried...PLZ HELP ME My 10 week old pup won't eat. In all, he might eat one serving a day and will only drink when I put his face in his bowl. At first I thought he didn't want food but when my daughter had chicken fried rice and waste a little bit of it, he went crazy for it. He loves the chicken and rice. I just don't understand and I'm afraid that he won't eat and get sick. Plz tell me what I should do. |

| First off, what food are you feeding him?? It's very important he eat!! If he wants chicken, then give him chicken! Lol! Just boil some chicken... When they are that young, you must do whatever you can. Bevo would ONLY eat ground beef when he was a pup. If he really likes the chicken, mix it in with his kibble! Watch for signs of hypoglycemia as well... 10 weeks if awfully young to be away from mom!!

| No.. Bevo is 4 now and eats his food just fine. But when he was a pup, I did whatever I could to make sure he was eating. You can also use the broth that you boil the chicken in to moisten his kibble. He might be more willing to eat it then and also be getting some fluids.

| Boiled chicken & rice is just fine. If he likes it, it won't ruin him for dog food later. Plus, the rice gives him some carbs & he needs to keep his blood sugar up. KendraE is right about the broth adding some fluids. Def give it a try!

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | You could always mix small chuncks of the chicken in with his dry food and a bit of the chicken broth to get him to eat. That way he still has a feel for the dry food but gets the added chicken and broth for flavor. You never know its worth a try.

| Thank you all very much. I will try it. I don't know what I'd do if something happened to my little Angelo |

Boil chicken and dice it up into tiny pieces....or buy ground chicken, like you get ground meat, and boil that for him and feed that.....you can mix this with his kibble, softened with some of the water you boiled thew meat in....you can also mix in a little rice. | |

|
I am feeding him Blue Buffalo but he likes the chicken. Giving him chicken wouldn't make him not want dog food in the future?
If he dies from hypoglycemia or starves to death, this will all be a moot point....he is a baby...he HAS to eat....you need to jump thru hoops to find what he likes to eat....then you worry about changing his diet later! It wont be a problem....tooo many people do this!!! What did the breeder send him home with you, eating? I personally do not advocate getting a new baby and immediately changing their kibble ....they are trying to adjust to so many other new situations, changing the one thing in their little short life that they can stay familiar with, is not necessary! |

| Both our yorkies were born november 5. They are from the same litter and the same breeder. The other one (my mom's) eats everything and is on the chubby side. My "chronos" is very picky. I tried to google home made puppy recipes for him but his favorite is steak with rice green peas and carrots (which I cook, put in the food processor then freeze). He will only eat kibbles if I feed him with by hand. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I have heard a lot of folks like the blue buffalo for their babies, both of my yorkies got sick when they ate it. I love royal canine for yorkies. It even smells good!
