| ![]() My girl will eat anything. She's a little piggy! But my boy is soooo finicky! He was my first & it was so hard for me to get him to eat. One year later, he's still a food snob. I ended up home cooking for them with recipes from PetDiets & supplements from BalanceIT. I wonder what it is about Yorkies that make them so finicky ![]()

YT Addict | ![]() My previous yorkie, Barkley was a picky little guy so I know what you're going through. It was always a challenge getting him to eat. As a pup (9weeks) he ended up with hypoglycemia because I was clueless about making sure he ate often enough. My new pups eat Royal Canin Puppy 29 for Yorkies. They came home from the breeder eating Mini Starter in the same brand. I switched at about 14 weeks. I also free feed them. Twice a week they get a half of a scrambled egg each "smooched" into their kibble and the LOVE it. Treats are tiny pieces of peeled organic apple and banana & little pieces of chicken breast. I would check the list of safe foods for dogs before you start giving people food.

Till I do, I will feed him by the hand if I have to. I don't want him to starve. ![]() | |
