| Puppies and carpet Hey everyone, As many of you know, I've been looking into getting a puppy for some time. Depending on how things go, we may be bringing one home in a couple of months...fingers crossed But my question is what does everyone do when they have carpet everywhere in their homes? The only places that do not have carpet is our galley kitchen and tiny bathroom. I'm assuming if she's in the ex-pen, just put down lots of pee pads, but what about when she's not? How often do you come across accidents? I can't imagine stepping on a teeny spot is always practical, LOL. I had a rescue dog once that would pee when she walked so she was never really "caught" in the act of squatting. Thanks

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Get a piece of linoleum and put it under the ex pen. That is what I am going to do. We have very old hard wood floors.

| That would be me....everywhere but the hallway has carpet...so pet owner unfriendly....I used an ex pen with a small indoor potty...Ruby loves using the indoor potty thank goodness. Also a wire kennel w the plastic pull out bottom...and eyes in the back of my head...and that's still not enough. I have tons of miracle out under my sink

| We just bought some foam interlocking exercise tiles @ Menards. They are 18"x18" and primary colors on 1 side and grey on the other side. They come 4 tiles to a package and we bought 3 pkgs for under $20. Our ex pen is 4ft square and we used 9 tiles and just slid it under(leaves us 3 tiles for replacement if needed). It extends a bit beyond the pen and makes a nice finished look. Will let you all know how well it holds up. Lambeau has checked it all out and seems pleased. It looks like it will be easy to clean, too!! |

| Probably....they are about .5" thick and they would make a good play floor. Ours are made by Norsk Sport/Recyclamat. |
