My furkids Donating Member | Venting! I thought we had a rant thread here,.....if so Admin...please move... Some of you may remember me posting, several months ago, about my next door (also friends) neighbor getting a lhasa puppy after the loss of their dog... and her jumping out of his truck and breaking her neck. They only had her a little over a week. They were devastated to say the least....They asked if I could help them find another one as they already had a yorkie boy that needed a playmate (Harley was not quite year old when they got the pup) So I found them a breeder here in mass...a GOOD breeder! they picked up their new puppy when she was 12 weeks old...this one was a shihtzu...ADORABLE!!! matter of fact she looked EXACTLY like the little Lhasa they had and lost...They gave this pup the same name as the one they lost....Pebbles ...Well.....Pebbles was about 5 months old....Harley and Pebbles were tied outside while the owner was bringing tiles into his house...so his truck was parked on his front lawn....before he moved his truck he tied the pups further away from the truck....so he thought...he got in the truck started to move it and he felt it....he had run over little Pebbles! Before they got Harley I told them they should first research the breed to see if it would be a fit for them...I gave them 2 books that I had ...they never read them...I told them....you NEED to either tie Harley or fence in your yard...they said...nooooo...we are going to train him to walk by our side and stay in the yard...well...that didn't work out very well...he was always at my house...which wasn't a bad thing because our yards are connected but, we also live on a busy street...I kept trying to explain to them that even if he DOES stay in the yard that if he sees another animal or something he wants to get at there will be no stopping him...well...we had gotten a snow storm a few days before new years...my husband and I were in the living room and saw Harley run out into the road...I told my husband..."that dog is going to get hit and I hope to GOD I'm not home when it happens"...well.....the next night my neighbors came home...let Harley out and this time there was a car coming down the road...the woman couldn't stop because of the snow covered road and ran over him...I ran next door...did NOT want to look at him and my neighbors were screaming...."why is this happening to us!!! we are good people!! " I didn't say a word! I would lose friends. I am SO PISSED that this has happened 3 TIMES!!! NOW they want me to help them find another yorkie!!! I told them to get a bigger dog ...the owner has his own business and like to take the dog with him....I told him a yorkie isn't that kind of dog...(he does construction).... Then...my daughter called me the other day...there was a tiny yorkie sitting on her door step...I told her to try to coax him/her into her house and I would be right over...when she opened the door the pup took off...she lives in a residential area but, lots of woods...she almost hit this pup a few days ago...she stopped and tried to get it into her car but took off...I know of a family that just got a yorkie pup a few months back...THEY LET IT OUT UNTIED!! The people that live down the hill from them just let theirs out too!! WHAT THE HE** IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!! I told my daughter (and i know this is wrong) the next time she see's that puppy...use a treat to get it into her house...call me and i a going to go get it and find a GOOD home for it! My son in law took his boxer out a few months back and saw fisher cat in his back yard...also seen coyotes...not to mention the puppies were quite a ways from their homes and there is a main road not far from them...Apparently these people don't care about them so I would NOT feel bad taking them... I am VERY FRUSTRATED!! ok...i'm done

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | Wow. Some people just do not learn. They need to get a fish. I hope your daughter can catch that little one. You can also get a have a heart trap and put food in. A lot of shelters have them to borrow. Good luck

| I understand your frustration, one of my neighbors had a beautiful little poodle her name was Fancy, i saw them giving her chocolate candy and ask them if they did not know that chocolate was toxic for a dog, they told me that we give it to her all the time and it don't hurt her..they came home before Christmas to find Fancy on the floor dead

My furkids Donating Member | I just don't understand!! I TIRED so hard to help them....the husband is more distraught than the wife...the dogs were more attached to him...he is the one that played and walked them 99% of the time...he was crying so hard he made me cry...I would like to tell them NOT to get another dog...they are NOT good pet owners. And,,.,he does plan on getting another one...once he got his yorkie he was bit by the yorkie bug! NOW he wants another one..just like the one they lost...He doesn't want one as small as mine...mine are 8 6 1/2 and 4 1/2 lbs...he wants one aroun 9 10 lbs...i told him there is no guarantee that he will get the size he is looking for and maybe should think about a silky...then again...they shouldn't get one at all..UGH! I am frustrated beyond belief!

| There are just some people who should not own pets ever! I am in the processes of trying to figure out how to rescue two pups from one of those kind of people!

| Our neighbor across the street from us does this with her little yorkie. The first week after we moved here I was in the garage and heard a yorkie barking outside. I came running inside to make sure dh hadn't let one of ours sneek out even though we do have a fenced in yard. It was their dog. We took it home and they came to the door and acted mad that we bothered them. It is so infuriating.

| Oh dear that's heartbreaking.. You can sympathise with the couple losing their first lhaso apso but to leave the Shih Tzu out without a lead is just pure irresponsible and also horrible for the person who ran the poor dog over.. I understand your frustration. People are just so blooming careless and irresponsible to own dogs it really is upsetting

| They are responsible for killing 3 dogs! NO WAY should they ever have another dog...ever! Sorry, but I couldn't be friends with people like that...I'd have absolutely no respect for them.
