Update: Samuel's surgery and Kalisi
 

Hello my fellow YT sisters! Oh how I have missed you all. I'm sorry that I have been away for so long, but I've had a really hard time dealing and coming to terms with Samuels condition and his surgery. We will be taking Samuel who is 2 years old to the hospital for brain surgery in just a few hours. I'm still up, mind racing and can't sleep, despite my family trying to get me to at least lay down. My mind just won't slow down long enough to let me rest right now.

I've talked with Jacqui and promised her I was going to try to get on and start a thread that she or I would be able to update my YT sisters and brothers on that wanted to be kept up to date and follow along for up dates on Samuel. We have to be at the hospital at 5:30. Surgery will likely start at 7 AM and will last about 4 hours. After talking again with the neurosurgeon yesterday at his pre op and having her go over the procedure and the seriousness of it again, I just ask that you please please keep my precious little boy in your prayers.


Thank you all again for the emails and outreach for those of you who've gone out your way to contact me. I'm so honored that my little Sam has touched to many people in such an awesome way! Thank you also to those of you that reached out and contacted Jacqui to check on us.....


I will also post a recent picture of Kalisi ASAP. My little Diva is stunning to say the least and oh so spoiled. My family members that have just gotten into town are already wrapped around her little paw lol just like the rest of us are. She is still a very good puppy, but a handful as well lol. She is still weighing in right now at a steady 2 lbs.


Again Thank you everyone. If I don't get on to post an update, I promise that Jacqui will, but I will try. I will likely be trying to read some threads and catch up on some of what I've been missing the last month, while we are waiting during his surgery to occupy my mind.... Ok I'm rambling now .... Sorry....

I just said a prayer for Samuel that God will place His Angela around him during the surgery. God is good and faithful and will be beside Samuel the entire time. Your little boy is special and has touched my heart. I will be thinking about him and praying this morning for a successful surgery. I also pray that God gives you the strength you need this morning and His peace.

I am so glad you posted this update Tracy. I have had you guys in my thoughts and prayers...and saying extra prayers for Samuel, the doctors and all of the medical staff who will be working on him during surgery today.

ps....I can't wait to see updated pics of Kalisi..I bet she is a stunner:)

If possible try to close your eyes and take a few cat naps you will need your strength

Prayers going out for your precious little boy:hands: You must be so anxious but you also must remember to take care of you, too. I know it's easier said than done, but if you get sick (you know how it is when us moms are down with an illness) then it does no one any good:love: BIG hugs to you and your family.

Had you on my mind last night. I am still praying for you, Sammy, and your family. I pray God will watch over this surgery and guide the surgeon's hands. And, that He will give you some calming peace.

I know it is one of the most scariest times but know that you have a whole family here for you, Sam and your entire family. All of our prays, blessings and good thoughts to lift you up. May all of our love help you in this time of need. Hugs

They are just finised surgery and are waking him up now in recovery. Prayerfully she will get to see him in a few minutes in recovery until they move him to NICU. They said he did really well.
