I feel sorry for this poor little dog. I look at my Cody and all my past babies, they were family, loved and adored, not pushed to work and perform day after day after day. This poor sweet adorable baby is all work and no play I am sure. This Cess is not a lover of dogs, she is a lover of the almighty dollar. Sure she is a great trainer, I do have to giver her credit for that. She should have several Minnie Misa's so one can take a break while the other works, and switch between dogs, not over work one tiny little baby.

Good grief!! "Yorkie Pimp" is totally appropriate in describing Cess.

This is how a lot of animal actors are handled. There is more than just the one. Of course, the most obvious being when the animal is a "baby" like in Babe. The pig was growing faster than they could shoot the movie. But usually they will have the main one and at least one sub.

Yep, that's what I am saying, would not be all that horrific of the lil girl had a extra so she could have a break. I googled the PetCo holiday commercial couldn't find it, found I think FB, Misa said mommy was "looking" for a new place to live, Misa said they have moved, Misa said they slept in the new "palace" lol. I guess this Cess had her eye operation and is not blind if she was "looking" for a new abode. Misa said they were off do some therapy to make ppl smile, Misa should be eating Filet Mignon and taking naps. Gezzzz I better stop I wouldn't want someone to refer to me as being jealous, as my little boy lays snuggled warm next to me, happy to be napping and not out working.

The petco commercial just has a short clip of Misa pushing a tiny shopping cart. I'm wondering if they changed the commercial because I only saw that version a few times.

I can't believe so many people are willing to give her money, especially without doing research.

I googled it because I don't watch much TV, I did see all the tricks and the shopping cart one Misa does on this thread, guess I'm not missing much. Wondering if this poor lil collage gal who had no $ for the other dogs operation, had to ask for donations for pups medical care, if she ever finished college. With all this training and running around with her "therapy" dog, where did / does she find the time for collage? Was there even college lol? makes me wonder.

Most dogs adore training and it's good for them - and their owners - if training is kept fun, short, frequent sessions and upbeat. But the thing I most noticed in the early footage I saw of tiny Misa doing her tricks was her little hang-dog attitude. She didn't seem to be having fun, happily performing and sticking out her chest proudly once she'd done her trick. Maybe I was just reading her wrong and once she got older, she changed and loves doing them now. I sure hope so.

^^ this. I think I've already stated it in this thread somewhere in the past but Jackson ADORES performing. He begs me to do work with him and do tricks with him, and yes we do silly things like handstands and pushing things and closing doors etc. I hope that this Misa dog doesn't make YT'ers jaded towards dogs doing tricks or even being on TV, performing in shows, etc. It's certainly not cruel. I don't even have a problem with making money off a dog. Think about all the dog actors of the past- Lassie, Rin Tin Tin, the dog on Fraiser, etc, they were all paid. You can find amazing videos on youtube of dogs - check out JustJesse197
- a dog that has an impeccable bond with his owner and is very much a WELL loved member of the family and she has turned her amazing dog into somewhat of a career, traveling around, etc. Home -

And videos like these- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK6MkxA0isw

Dog training is SOOO much fun and it is simply amazing what dogs can do and what they love to do.

The biggest difference between Misa Minnie that hits a sour spot with everyone is simply HOW MANY dogs she has gone through in the course of a pretty short period of time, continuing to purchase from the same 'breeder' and they usually all end up sick, the lying, the shady donations she asks for, etc... and unfortunately, the public sees this cute dog, like many others on youtube, and thinks no different of it... but those that know the behind the scenes story, obviously have a different idea...

No I think I saw the same thing, it's work something she's has to do not for fun and bonding.

Haha. I've seen you working with Jackson in your videos & he looks totally fulfilled, happy and eager in everything you ask him to do, a joy to behold.

I've never trained a dog that didn't just have the time of his life repetitively learning and doing his tricks as we made a fun game of it, my voice always upbeat and happy, never militant or harsh-sounding, as I made my requests of him. Once the dog "got" that I could communicate something I wanted to him, he could come to understand exactly what I wanted and then actually do it and prove how smart and clever he was and that it just overjoyed me when he did, he was filled with pride of achievement and all kinds of self-confidence. That communication ability keeps growing in myriad ways and your dog is always more in-tune with you after undergoing fun training. These dogs just beg for more and more work because it's a fun, fulfilling, life-enriching activity to them.

Even here-to-fore aggressive, fierce, bad-tempered dogs quickly become absolutely addicted to working and training for fun and life-enriching stimulation, positive reinforcement. This in turns floods his rewards centers in the brain with all the "feel good" hormones that make him happy and rewarded, leaves him wanting more, makes us happy and it's a true love-fun-fest between trainer and dog. A real team, bonded for life, is formed between the trainer and the dog and that dog will out-do himself trying to always do what you want to get more and more of all that positive reinforcement and good feelings. He wants to keep you happy with him as he's learned life is great that way. Dogs trained using upbeat, fun methods by a happy-acting trainer(yes, we all have to fake it for a while some days) are always happy to do their tricks and perform their commands, never hang-dog or morose or simply robotic.

Any time I see a pet dog performing a command without keen joy in his movements and his eyes alight, I'm depressed, wondering why that dog isn't having the time of his life rather than just going through the motions.

I'm not against training at all Callie loves it and wants to do it a lot but her eyes are always nice and big and bright and she looks like she is enjoying it. I guess I feel like dog lovers should be able to see something is not right with that dog and all it takes is looking at her eyes.
