Please note, I see NOTHING wrong with a dog having a talent agent or performing tricks. My Jackson LIVES to please me, and looovess working. But I can't even fathom moving on so quickly, should he ever pass away at such a young age. I would be heartbroken. If you want to see a GOOD example of a bond, and a working dog, with a talent agent, who is very successful, go watch YouTube channel JustJesse197. Cutest little JRT who clearly shares a deep bond with his owner, and they are not in it for the money. Even though, again, I don't see anything wrong with a dog making money, as long as it's not your sole reason for owning the dog, or your only income, or whatever. I won $100 in a pet trick contest once LOL...

It's just the way it all went down. Very shady, and very sad.

Callie can do many tricks and we have won a contest for it but I don't push her all the time and anyone who has seen Callie with me knows how bonded we are and how happy Callie is.

Goodness yep I would love to have answers to these questions. I also hope her supports read this? ugh it just makes me sick.

It will just give her a heads up on how to cover up more. The girl will always have her fans, that I know. But to con people out of their money really ticked me off.

I just wish this thread would go away for good. I was devastated when LILO died. I thought about that baby girl for days and days - even woke up at night thinking about her death. Every time I see this thread I get angry at what has evolved. That little Misa does not look happy at all. All those cute tricks and she doesn't look like she is enjoying doing them - just looking for a treat. Wish I would never see anything to do with her again!

I just read this thread, from beginning to end. Such a shame that some people are good at conning others! Makes me sick to think that good hearted people were fooled!! Bummer that it makes the honest ones questionable. Sounds like the owner is just in it for herself. Karma's a b@#ch! Oh, and last but certainly not least, what the pups that passed went through. Arrgh!

What bothers me is there is no way these fans can be great big dog people because if they where they would easily be able to see there is no light in this dogs eyes she is miserable.

I just watched this

Worlds Smartest Cutest Puppy Misa Minnie 31 wks -...

and noticed that the dog NEVER wags her tail once during this. Maybe a tiny one here and there? I dunno... but I can't see.

When Jackson is doing stuff with me, he's constantly so happy and wagging his little tail, or at least moving it. You can see his body language.

If you look closely, you can really see the difference. Wow... I honestly had not watched that full Minnie Misa video til now.

I can't really fault the way Misa looks while doing the tricks. Lola kinda does the same, she does it during pictures too. It's not that Lola's unhappy, she's just very focused and more reserved than other dogs. I call it her game face. It's hard to get a good picture without catching her off guard.

I do fault her for the things that happened to the other dogs, the sketchy finances, and the excessive training hours though.

That IS true. Some dogs will look unhappy in photos, etc, even if they're not. But I dunno... it's hard to pinpoint, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but there's just something about Minnie Misa that throws me. Don't get me wrong, it's impressive what she's trained her to do. It's not easy, actually, and the fact that she has all those behaviors at that young of an age IS "impressive". But knowing the history, etc, it makes me very sad. I was a big fan of little Lilo, and I had no idea back then what was going on. I was just thrilled to see a tiny Yorkie doing things that "big dogs" normally do, and I thought she was a great representation of the breed at the time. But meh.

Well, I just have to say that video of Jackson is great! I've never seen Jackson in action - except for the pool video & that was short. He's a cutie! And you put it together really well. I'm a total Jackson fan now...
