| Well, ahem, at least they copy from only the best in setting forth guidelines. (hehe)

| Oh, if only they would. So much less heartache as so many of the new owners just aren't prepared and don't know what to do or anything about hypoglycemia and other things that can befall these babies. And guess what - not every ER clinic HAS a vet in the middle of the night! I called ours once at 3:00 a.m., really just to ask a question about Tibbe and the guy had been called to the hospital for his daughter's emergency of some kind and they were desperately trying to find their back-up! The nearest ER vet I knew of was all the way across town and it was icey outside and sleeting. With a new baby in an emergent situation, we would have been in real trouble if that baby only had an hour to live. But besides all of that about the health worries is the imprinting and nurturing and calm guidance that puppy is getting from its mom and littermates nearby as it develops and learns in the best of surroundings without any undue stresses and scary new things. Hopefully, more and more the message will get out. I wish Animal Planet and TLC and Discovery, etc., would do more shows about responsible puppy shopping, purchasing and home-bringing, not to mention how to housebreak and train them in basic obedience. We could do a far better job of educating people if our entertainment industry would get involved and make the programs entertaining and informative. But, no, they have to have endless shows on people hunting Bigfoot, Mothman(!) and crocs!!!

| Well go figure?!? How long have the wonderful members here been saying that? Just thankful they finally put it in print. Hopefully people will start listening.

| Yikes not so sure how I feel about this part since Guinness will be the 8 to 12 week Role Model lol Ideally, puppies should stay with their littermates (or other "role-model" dogs) for at least 12 weeks.

| This has been well known information in the dog and cat world for years. People who study animal behavior studied this long ago. I guess it has been a well kept secret from the general public. |

| I posted this because too often it is inferred that YT'ers are the only *ones* that think this way...! Its often rediculous that it does have to be said over and over, but somehow folks believe what they want to believe...if you go to almost any dog (I don't know about other animals) forum they say the same thing so why are we always squawked at for reiterating what is already common knowledge?
