| We go a Morkie!!! Hello all. Well I was expecting my first post to be I introducing myself and asking a ton os questions. Buuuuut the Mrs called me the other day to come and see what she has. Had a little Morkie that she couldnt say no to. I could have but she was digging it a lot. So here we are with a new 10week old puppy. The wife has had dogs before but not me. I have been allergic as a kid and still a little. Which is why we got this pooch. I am used to my buddies dogs which are fullsize and are outside dogs. This inside the house cage dog concept is very foreign to me. Anyways I wanted to post up we got a new pooch. 10 week old male named Frankie. Cute little scoundrel. Will post a pic when I am at home on computer. I would do it via tapatalk but I can't find the forum. |

| Welcome to YorkieTalk! Small breed puppies should stay with there moms until 12 weeks so you might have a few issues with potty training, bite inhibition, and socialization. You need to make sure you know the symptoms of hypoglycemia which is another problem small breed pups can get and you should keep some nurtical on hand. Also remember to get your pup to the vet within the next two days for a vet check up. I also suggest you keep your pup away from other dogs until he is fully vaccinated. One more thing stay away from treats made in China many of them have been making dogs sick and killing them. There is great info that can be learned here so grab your wife and join the club

| Welcome to YT and congrats on getting Frankie! Can't wait to see pics of the little guy I can relate to your wife...sometimes, that puppy comes along that you just KNOW is "the one." Definitely keep some Nutrical on hand and watch for signs of hypoglycemia (do a search so you'll know the symptoms). Hopefully you won't even have to worry about it with Frankie, but best to be prepared because the little tinies can go down super fast. Again, post some pics when you get the chance

| Hi, welcome, and congrats on Frankie! Small dogs are quite a bit different than large breed dogs, and you may be 'ruined forever' by having a little guy...it happened to my DH, and YT is full of similar stories. Would love to see pix of the new baby...post when you can.
