| Ok, I'll take the bait that's been dangled....talk about beating a dead horse? which was buried by the moderator, dug up by the last 2 posters and beat again....let me try to bury this once and for all, for all our sakes. It is without further ado that someone acknowledge that we are passionate, extremely protective and still growing in our philosophies and learning through YT how to use our knowledge positively rather than negatively. Its a slippery slope...when you realize that some people, regardless of their knowledge put their pups at risk and/or dangle it like bait in front of folks who care so much about the Yorkies that our hearts truly beat rapidly at the words in front of us...then you have breeders who've seen it all and know that the only important thing is to reach out to the *breeder* to help the pup....its not easy or hard to throw negatives around because so much genuine emotion is involved. A few weeks ago I had to deal with the most grotesque sight of an extremely emaciated, poster perfect abused dog, being pulled on a cart by its owner who said "it just happened"....I didn't have my phone or would have called the police on the spot...the only thing I could do is argue with the owner, plead with the owner, scream at my vet, and make a scene. I took his license plate as he promised to take the pup to the SPCA, I went to the SPCA only to find he never went there, I went to the projects in the roughest part of Buffalo in the night looking for truck of the owner as I was able to find his REAL address. Lo and behold it came back to an address where several dogs had previously been removed when police found their dog fighting ring in the middle of serving a felony warrant for other charges.....I got lost and was accosted by several folks who knew I didn't belong and had to call 911 to be escorted out of the hood. I didn't talk about it here, I don't sit and brag about the things I've done or donations I've made, I pray to God with thanks that I could help. That is a genuine passion for all living things that I own and have never become desensitized to. So with that same passion I sometimes slip on the slope as do others probably because through our screens and keyboards we are so helpless. Some of us aren't able to convey what we are really trying to say and some of us really just react out of disgust and frustration. Doesn't make it right, I know that but at the end of the day I think this thread was a great example of what can happen when you DON'T leave the breeding to the EXPERIENCED/ETHICAL BREEDERS. The OP stuck around and no doubt, judging by her words, went through an awful experience with this pup. That is exactly what we don't want to see. In the end the OP came back and shared pics of her beautiful pups, and told of her Momma pup's C-Section and spay....she now realizes, hopefully because of YT that its for the pups own good. Most of us who read her vague message about the csection saw it for what it really was the traumatic experience for OP, Momma pup and with a huge sigh of relief we read that Momma and pups are healthy and fine. No doubt Momma is uncomfortable feeding her pups after such a surgery but the bottom line is the Momma and the pups are fine and OP did the right thing in getting her spayed. We now have some beautiful puppies, a happy and forever spoiled safe momma pup and a wonderful new member to YT who can help share her experience with people in the same situation. Welcome to YT Courtney, I am so proud of you for what you have done and especially for taking such good care of your momma pup and babies...your true love of your Yorkie shines through in your recent postings so clearly! I hope you will stick around YT so that you can help others, make new friends, and share plenty of pics with us!!!!! I am so happy your pups are ok!

| 2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | So, I guess I would be considered poster (#1) or the 2 I haven't dug anything up, thank you. I welcomed the OP to TY and told of my experience with this same type of situation. I ask that she stay a member and to ask important questions that she will in no doubt need answers to when it comes to after care. So if you see that as in some way " drudging or baiting" So, sorry but your perception would be Off. Way Off !

| Gee after reading and rereading before I posted I now have reread again and think I should have left the whole first paragraph in my thoughts and not in print...still learning...I just can't see what good it was to the OP or the thread that I thought had swung in such a good direction with all the positive posts....by both OP and YT'ers! It just seemed like a wth? when you posted that post out of nowhere... and anyway you look at it was a negative comment, but hey I guess your entitled..., sorry for reference in paragraph 1. Now again, Welcome to YT Courtney, got any new pics?

Im so glad that this thread took a positive turn and that the negativity didn't go on and on like most. I cant wait to see more photos of the pups and input around YT from the OP. I hope that she will learn a lot form reading and getting involved and that by going through this experience, I hope that she wont be afraid to ask difficult question for fear of another heated thread.

| Yorkie Talker | That last long post made me tear up alittle lol!!! I knew what I was getting myself into I've read and read and read about breeding these dogs and when she didnt go into labor on her due date I was calling the vet we just let Mother Nature take its course she was fine and happy but when I woke up on that 70th day and saw her pushing I called right away and took her In there was no way I'd let anything happen to her she is everything to me if my house was on fire she would be the first thing I'd grab and my other yorkie. They mean the samething in this world as people do for sure! I'm a very girlie girle and I love all the materialistic thing but I wouldn't even think about that! Everytime I go to Walmart petco whatever if they have animal stuff I'm stopping on that aisle. It's crazy how people where acting well I did come back to YT to show I do care for these animals! These are not the animals to breed it comes with a lot of responsibility and you better have money I always knew that and guess what it hit me all the vet bills and everything. But I'm glad I got these two puppies out of it and I'm no where near making my money back but it's ok! I did take more pictures today I posted them on my profile |

When you save enough money back up there are a lot of vendors here who sell girlie girl things for your pups here! Please keep us posted on how things are going and make sure you stick around to help others, your input as someone who has been there would be awesome! Ok going to look at the new pics!

| Sounds like you learned a lot from this experience! Share your story so others may benefit from it. I think many people think it will be easy but you have been through it. You can explain to them what could happen. And did happen to you! Can't wait to see your babies. Good luck!

I hope the puppies thrive and that Mama also does well. Are you keeping the pups? If not, I hope they find the perfect homes. If they do go to other homes, make sure they have a spay / neuter contract so you know they'll be safe. And, congrats!
