| Need some suggestions...... My 7 mo. old pup, Cooper, got neutered yesterday and also had some baby teeth removed. He seems to be doing well. The vet gave us amoxycillan (liquid) to use for a week because we had the 2 things done at the same time. I am not having any luck using the syringe (needleless) to get it in him twice a day. I used karo last night and this morning but got worried that I could be giving him too much sugar...... does anyone have any ideas? He eats dry food - should I try mixing it in a little canned food? Help! |

| I put the syringe (needless) at the back of the mouth and squirt it in. Have had a few overflows so to speak, but no other issues. I do the same thing with small pills as my little Abby can find them in any treat. You will not hurt your little boy, but he may give you the sad eyes - they know how to milk it for all it is worth. |

| We had the same problem when Gracie was spayed, she also was on amoxicillin, which is white, Since she loves cottage cheese, which of course is also white, I would put the amoxicillin on a tsp. of the cottage cheese. She lapped it up so fast. Problem solved. I used the fat free c/c. |

YT Addict | I put the syringe in the side of the mouth between the cheek and teeth. Keep pushing slowing on the syringe until it's all gone. It's always worked for me. I had to give my previous yorkie some really nasty tasting stuff after his surgery and this was only way to get it down.
