| I wouldn't use area rugs unless you never want area rugs that "are not" pee pads in your home. Shoot, I have to pick up or keep doors closed off to any area rugs I have in my house, because Mandie will use them anyway. I think area rug = pee pad in the Yorkie mind. hehe

| Yup same here. Both of mine little ones think the area rugs are potty pads. I no longer have arear rugs. Such is life with fur babies. At least for me anyway. |

| I wouldn't use area rugs with pee pads until the dog is at least 1 1/2 to 2 years old, after a long, long history of getting the message that the only thing in the floor permissible to use is the pad. And then I would introduce only one and see how it went before launching into more.

| I agree ~2 yrs after going in the SAME spot before I would trust them. Moki is 8 months and he doesn't go on any rugs in the house. But I don't trust him. Sometimes he has the "look" I'll yell at him to go ring his bell. Then he does and I let him out. When he's in the baby gated area of the house I may not hear his bell he will go on his ppe pad by the door. |
