He looks like he should have been old enough to have those shots by now. Maybe the shots were delayed for some reason? Can I ask again how old this dog is and is there a website you or something you got him from? That vet certificate just gives the airline a big yes or no to shipping him. I don't believe it would say anything about the coughing or shots. They should have sent you a shot record. Make sure the vet sees that when you bring him in. |

1 Attachment(s) The dog is weeks 18 weeks old, I guess i kind of exxagerated when i said hes been coughing all night, he coughed more like 1 time every hour, this morning he hasnt coughed at all. Heres the edited copy of the health certificate. Thank you guys so much for all the info. |

Well if I read that right it looks like he has had the bordatello vaccine. He still could have collapsed trachea and that is why he is coughing. I would still have him checked by a vet. |

I think you misunderstood me. I am just saying it looks like it's older than 3 months. People can tell a dog's age by the size, the fur, the shape of it's face, and how open it's face looks. I could be wrong, esspecially if it is a mix and it's hard telling sometimes with pictures. A good breeder will give the dog it's shots according to schedule, not if it's sold the dog or not. However alot of them will sell them before 12 weeks to save money on that set of shots. But if the breeder waited after this age and postponed it's shots that is bad. That is all I'm saying. What is the health guarantee the breeder gave you anyways? |

To be on the safe side, I would still take her to the vet. She really is cute!!! :) |

I would take her to the vet as well. I am just saying that only the congenital health might be covered for the 1 year. Usually other sicknesses are covered only 3 days after she is received. So if you have to take her to the vet anyways, then you might as well have her checked for the cold too. Just go with your gut instinct. It sounds like you've decided not to take her to the vet. Then make sure you monitor her food and water intake. Make sure she's not lethargic and wheezing as well. Maybe even just calling a vet and telling them about the symptoms and see what they think will help you with your decision. Just make sure she's not miserable or has a fever. Good luck to her. |

2 Attachment(s) thank you cheryl, will do. Ill see how much it cost to get a check up, this is the first time we own a pet, so i have no idea what it cost, hopefulyl not an arm an a leg. I just cant believe how much energy these yorkies have, she was playing allllll night with my cell phone and her toys. As soon as we woke up she wanted to play some more, its incredible, i love her already. she has a habit of biting on wires, i keep telling her no but as soon as i turn my head she goes right to it. She power sleeps for like 5 minutes and plays for like 30 minutes at a time. Hopefully the nutri cal works, they told me to give it to her two times a day(quantity= 1st line of my index finger). |

An update, i scheduled an appointment for tommorow. What i noticed was she only coughs when she goes downstairs on to the tile or when shes cold. Im guessing she has a cold. |

I'm really glad you took our advise and you're going to bring her in. You guys are definately going to be good owners. Let us know what the vet says! Take care cher |
