| Belly bands Hey everyone! I recently have been using belly bands on Dex when I am home to prevent marking. So far it serves its purpose, but a new issue has surfaced. Dex would usually give me signs he needs to go out to potty, but since the bands, he just will pee inside the band and it becomes soaked, as well as himself needing a bath. I am not sure what to do. I don't want him to pee on himself, but I also want to curb the marking issue!! Any suggestions? |

| There is a member here that made an inside "marking post" for her boys. Gee, I can't remember who it was..hopefully she will see this and post. I believe she just wrapped a water bottle in paper towels or pee pads or something and put it in a spot she chose. The boys just mark that spot and so no belly bands are needed.

| Do you put a kotex inside the belly band to catch the urine? I actually use a disposable doggie diaper folded back onto itself so that the absorbant pad is against the dog, inside the belly band....these work well for 4-5 lb males...when they are "marking" they are just dribbling a tiny amount of urine, so the diaper will last for 4-5 hours....when they are actually urinating inside the diaper, it will only last several "pee times" before you have to change the diaper. |
