| I live on 3 acres in the middle of nowhere, Pacific Northwest. Lots of Coyotes, Falcons, Hawks, and Bears. I have a huge fenced yard, but it's so big and when the winter comes, its dark early, and if the yorkies go to the far edges I can't see them at night. It was scaring me something terrible. I have had a friend have her morkie snatched right from in front of her by a coyote. So my dear dear hubby built a smaller yard within the big yard, attached to my deck... with wire mesh fencing so the yorkie girls can't get out.. the labs push open the gate so they can go to the big yard, and every time I let the girls out I have to go close the gate... but now they are in a small attached fence for potting (it's probably about 15x30ft) filled with wood chips. I'm attaching some pics. |

| It does suck. I live on 3 acres that is unfenced and there is 90 acres of farmland behind us, so pretty much middle of nowhere, LOL. I don't see too many wild animals besides deer. But I still get freaked out at night by myself when we go for our last potty break! During the day, I always let him out on 100 ft of long line so he has 'free roam' but during the night, I just walk him with a short 6' leash for the last potty so he's closer to me.
