Yorkie stolen from pet store !!

The store must not be to concerned $250 get real you can afford more..To me a small reward from a petland that makes lots $ makes me think of how they treat the animals. I hope the little yorkie is ok

THAT was a conversation I overheard in a doctors waiting room....the family was looking in the newspaper for puppies......I do not condone criminal behavior for ANY reason...PAY for the dog and rescue it from any "dire situation" you think the dog is in....the pet shop owner was not mistreating the puppy....she has a business she is trying to run....it is a legal, legitimate business...until they make it illegal to sell pets in pet stores (which I wish they would), stealing from this person is no different than someone going onto your property and stealing anything you own, because they dont like the way you take care of it and they call themselves "rescuing it". But while she may use that as an excuse when she gets caught, she stole that baby for the resale value on that dog. I would turn her in immediately....and take the reward money and give it to "Meals on Wheels" to buy pet food for seniors who are feeding THEIR meals to their pets because they cant afford to buy pet food. SAD!!!

What a devastatingly horrible thought!

I don't fit that profile...lol I have zero experience with spending money for a pet. I have never dealt with a breeder...other than polite conversation...lol...and what I have spent in 'cash money' to 'acquire' a pet only covered the cost vet care and/or accessories if that. Fosters from the Humane Society were taken to my vet on my 'dime'...not paid for at all...ever...by the Humane Society. Then there were all the feral animals and strays who had nowhere or were pitched out and came here and live/lived in the laps of loving humans for the rest of their lives.

I do completely agree that there are 'scum of the earth' out there, and some of them do buy pets.

It is impossible at this point to know why the woman took the Yorkie, but wrong is wrong, IMHO.

We honestly don't know whether the pet store was treating the pup right or not. I have heard some bad horror stories about pet shops that sell pups. Like I said though if she stole the pup for wrong reason like resale I'm not ok with it. I have heard of many people who have spent lots of money on a pup for there child and then it not work out and or the pup gets treated badly so there are people out there who will by an expensive pup and treat it poorly.
