It has been my experience that when people spend a larger amount of money for a pet, they tend to care for it better than someone who "has very little skin in the game". I have even heard people say, "Well, they are only wanting $150.00 for her, if she doesnt work out....well, no huge loss". THAT was a conversation I overheard in a doctors waiting room....the family was looking in the newspaper for puppies......I do not condone criminal behavior for ANY reason...PAY for the dog and rescue it from any "dire situation" you think the dog is in....the pet shop owner was not mistreating the puppy....she has a business she is trying to run....it is a legal, legitimate business...until they make it illegal to sell pets in pet stores (which I wish they would), stealing from this person is no different than someone going onto your property and stealing anything you own, because they dont like the way you take care of it and they call themselves "rescuing it". But while she may use that as an excuse when she gets caught, she stole that baby for the resale value on that dog. I would turn her in immediately....and take the reward money and give it to "Meals on Wheels" to buy pet food for seniors who are feeding THEIR meals to their pets because they cant afford to buy pet food. SAD!!!
