| ![]() Thank you all for contributing to this thread. I googled "yorkie won't wear clothes" because my girl will just stand there when I put any clothes on her. I adopted her when she was already 6 years old so I guess her previous owners just didn't dress her. She won't even wear a harness! I hate the thought of spending $20 on a t shirt and then trying to coax her with treats because if she hates it that much I just feel bad. I want her to like wearing clothes so badly! She won't move a muscle though. I did coax her a little with a treat and she eventually walked to me but then wouldn't eat the treat with her jacket on! It's so funny that there's other lil yorkies out there doing the sane thing. She made me laugh so hard! |

| ![]() My friend's puppy returned from be spayed and he figured there was going to be a real issue having her wear "the collar." To his surprise, he said she walked around like a little runway model---she thought she was something pretty spiffy in that big ol' collar! What characters!! |

| ![]() Bella hated her winter coat, but loves her inexpensive Walmart sweater--in fact, she asks for it each morning. You might try an inexpensive, comfortable loose-fitting sweater to see if you can get her used to wearing clothes. |

| ![]() That's very true! I do remember seeing dog sweaters at Walmart. Hopefully I can guess her size right. At Petsmart, she wears some smalls and some mediums--it differs from one design to the next. Oh the trouble I'll go through just to dress up my baby! |

| ![]() Bella weighs about 7 pounds, and I *believe* she wears a small. You could take in a piece of clothing that you know fits her and compare it to the items in the store. |

| ![]() Thank you, that helps. Hailey weighs 7-8 lbs, so a small will probably work. Otherwise, I can exchange it anyhow, right? :-) It took her months to get used to wearing a collar even. At least she moved with the collar on. Haha |

![]() And keep him in it in the house for a few hours...I get the giggle picturing this...so how is he doing now? It is so cold here (we are near you) so I feel your pain, I heard there is a huge colder front coming our way from the UK in a couple weeks ![]()

| ![]() Cody runs and hides when he sees me with his coat, sweater or T. When I finally get it on him he freezes like a statue, it's so funny and cute. But he knows if he wants out he has to wear it. They are such silly lil critters. Try lynzy420 suggestion, let her wear it in the house, start off with a T-shirt that's light weight , she'll get use to it.

| ![]() Anything new I'm trying with Piper in the way of sweaters, harnesses; or anything she's not too keen on (breath freshener), I do right before going on our walks. I wait until she comes to me (never very long) then put on the article or spritz her little gums, then off we go! I think my little gal would try high heels if it meant going for a walk! | ![]() That picture of Wallee in his coat is so cute. You can sure tell what he thinks about the situation. Peanut doesn't mind wearing clothes but I have a lot of problems with his hair matting when he wears them. I brush him every morning and bathe him weekly using a good conditioner but still have the problem. Does anybody else have this problem? Any ideas on how to keep this from happening? Peanut and I would surely appreciate any suggestions. |
