Yorkie or Chorkie?

Waffles is a yorkiepoo almost 9pds a bit more sturdy than a yorkie but has same personality that we love and coloring of the yorkie, super soft hair of the poodle . I have 2 teenage kids

Go to the YTCA website and read about the history and personality. YT also has a good library that I suggest you look into. These are adorable little dogs but they are a lot of work and quite expensive to keep. It's all worth while if you have the kind of personality that will put up with a dog running your life. I think I trained Gracie pretty well but I still have days when I am quite sure she actually trained me.

LoL so true. After my mom visited she said well I love waffles very much.. But I don't want a small needy dog. She said she's just like a small child. And yes she is! I'm very happy with my fur baby. And she's allergist approved! Lol

We are all different. I am just over the moon in love with my Yorkie girl but there are others that would never agree with her very persistent personality! I have had family members as why I let her talk back to me! I don't think of it as taking back so much (usually) as much as just talking. She does have her moments though.

Right!? She's about 11 weeks old. I'm really happy I got her at that age instead of the usual 8 weeks, now that I see what a difference a few more weeks with mom can make. She is so well adjusted

Congrats on your new baby girl! She's simply adorable. Since you asked for advice, I will say this, no walks is really not fair to the pup. I have the most laid back, easy going couch potato of a dog, but even he needs to get out. He is bored out of his mind being couped up inside the house all day everyday. I try to make his weekends interesting, but it just isn't the same. In the end he needs that free roam time, to go sniff and well... Be a weird little dog and pee on things, dig up worms, and whatever else little adventures his mind can think of. I say weird as a term of endearment. I don't understand why he does what he does 30% of the time. He makes me laugh with his weird antics. He's hilarious and I love him. Anyway, there are options other than walks (obedience class, agility, doggy daycare 1 or 2 times a week) that will help stimulate your pup. Plus classes can be fun for you too and help you bond with your new baby.
