This is going to sound super weird, but the "rubber bands" that are used to correct the jaw with braces work perfectly as little rubber bands to put in the dogs hair. I had a couple of packs left from my braces and that is what I have been using. They are really tiny and hardly noticeable in their hair, and when you put in a bow there is no chunky rubber band that takes away from the cuteness of the bow or clip in the hair. They are also really easy to take out of their hair (they don't get caught or tangled). I just like how unnoticeable they are & easy to use they are. Sadly, I don't know how you would get a hold of any of them without having a child with braces or having braces yourself. You might be able to walk into a bunch of different orthodontist offices and ask for a package of them??? The lighter ones work better than the stronger ones. That is just what I use =) |

The snap in bows will stay pretty well without a real topknot in place. |
Also I am really sorry about what that lady did! That was very rude of her to inform you about her dog needing a home.. getting you attached.. and then changing her mind... and then changing it again! This must be a very difficult decision for you. I hope that you are able to make the choice for the puppy/dog that would be best suited for your family! Both girls look absolutely adorable ... and I'm sure that you will be happy with whatever dog that finds her way into your life! (sorry, I didn't read the whole post originally) |
Thank you for the link to the snap in bows...think I will try these....Raelle has really fine silky hair, Jersey likes to pull out her bows. Does anyone know does she ship to Canada? Alisha I read all about the lady that changed her mind yet again, go with your gut...as for the deposit, was it non-refundable? Most deposits are..sorry hun. All you can do is ask...Both pups are adorable! |

Most of the Snap On Bow sets are out of stock. I wonder when they will have more ready? That's a great idea about the orthodontist elastics, however. I will give that a go. I think I saw them once at Amazon. Now I understand how everyone gets their bows to stay in. I thought it was just Khaleesi's hair that was different. Thank you, GracieLove, for explaining how it's accomplished. Alisha, I KNOW you will find just the right sissy for Guinness. Both of those babies look like angels, and I can't wait to hear about the wonderful antics the two of them will get into! I'm sure he'll take her under his furry little paw and show her the ropes. :D |
Omg the one tonight and Guinness were nonstop wrestling rolling on the floor, both had a blast BUT I am not sure after meeting her that she is the one for us every if they loved each other.... None I feel bad because the family was so impressed with how well taken care of and approved of us to adopt her but blah I just don't know...... Why is picking a puppy soooo hard???? |

Yep! What was it about her that set you off? Or is making you feel unsure? Like I said...go with your gut! |
