So far Sammy only talks to me when he is complaining lol! But he and Remy talk to each other all the time! Especially in the morning when I a, having coffe I hear them in their room talking and mumbling to each other... They are usually in their little bed having a conversation about who knows what! I'm sure they are always planning trouble because when they stop talking I know it's time to check on them

A couple of years after momma died, Aija and I had gone to pick my son up from his job at Kroger, and while we were sitting in the car, Aija intently watching the doors for Jimmy to come out, she saw a little elderly lady, about moms size, with her short hair do like mom wore her hair.....poor Aija got so escited, she was barking and yipping and jumping from my arms to the passenger seat door.....you WOULD know, that little lady was parked right next to my car.....Aija could not understand why in the world "momma" was getting into the other car and would not even acknowledge us...she would look at the lady, then look at me, then back to the lady....clearly heartbroken "mom" was "ignoring" her and was not going to come home with us....the fact that I could NOT explane what was going on, to her, broke my heart....she was sooooo sad, as she watched that lady drive away....she stood on the arm rest, watching her thru the window.....I cried.

Wow... sad. It shows how dedicated they are to their owners.

So cute! My two can definitely tell me what they want. I ask them "Are you hungry?!" and they let me know I also ask them "Do you need to go outside?" and they will respond if they need to potty.

Quite frankly, Sally, Harry's a smart boy! I am not surprised that Harry can explain his wishes so well. He IS a Yorkie! It is US who must learn to understand them. It takes US their lifetime to teach them everything we want them to know...they are much faster at teaching US what THEY want us to do for them! Or, at least that's how it works here.

I have always 'consulted' my fur babies...cats and dogs...and they always indicate what THEY want. My cat's have personally selected their desired cat food flavor by a number of gestures...Brody and Mia will even select the clothes they want to wear.

However, it might not hurt to have a Yorkshire accent well practiced...an 'ace in the hole' for us 'mericans for those difficult Yorkie understanding days...like when we say "no" but they don't quite get it? I'm assuming you'll teach me, too?
