| I hate to sound like I'm flogging a dead horse. But!!! Processed chemical hills and royal canin medical diets only mask the issue thy do not remedy the dogs condition. The best thing to do is either a home cooked natural or raw diet and natural supplements like probiotic and digestive enzymes to help heal the dog. A processed kibble takes 14 to 24 hours for the dogs body to process. They don't get the right amount of nutrients absorbed into the system and there is so much waste. A natural or raw diet puts no excessive stress on the organs as the dogs system is build to digest an process this kind of food and a healthier diet improves the immune system. Dr Karen Becker has a massive library of information on this. Please check her out. For the sake of your dogs. |

| I agree home cooking is best. However, Science Diet, in my opinion, saved my Rosie. I personally have no regrets using it. I think you do what is best for your pup at the time. I did change to home cooking and I'm very thankful I did. She has been able to control her IBS through diet.

| Tatiana has a sensitive stomach, too. She gets diarrhea. So far, I've been able to control her problems with a home-cooked diet and probiotics (FortiFlora). With her home-cooked meals, I use this basic recipe: 50% starch (rice) 25% protein (lean ground beef, at least 90% lean or higher) 25% veggies (plain pumpkin and peas) Tatiana has been on this regimen for a while, and she hasn't had any diarrhea. |
