| What is chloe? I also want to know if chloe has a cotton coat or silky coat? I used to think for sure she was cottony but now Im thinking that was just her puppycoat(stupid first time yorkie owner ). Is there such thing as in between? She does matt but only if I have clothes with sleeves on her for a long period of time. She is now 11 months old. When do they lose their puppycoat? So what do ya'll think? What is she? FYI- I had a hard time finding pics of her without clothes on so you could see all her coat. The picture of her in pigtails is right after a bath so it might not be a good one to go by.

| She looks like she has a silk coat to me. The only thing that is throwing me off is you say she matts when you put clothes on her. My female with the silk coat doesnt do that. My male with the cotton coat matts up easily and it is hard to take a brush through his hair.

I know, its very weird. Actually she still seem to have a undercoat to her(which I think is what the puppycoat is) and her newer hair is so much better to work with. The only part of her that really matts is the blond or really light colored hair that is under her front arms or her belly. SO I cant figure out what type of coat she has. SHe is shiny and soft but not like my best friends yorkie that defiently is silky. SO I dont know.

| I don't know. Muffin was definitely silky. Never had a mat in her life. Kacee is silky except where there is still some puppy hair - the texture is different to me. I think Chloe looks silky, but still has puppy hair, too. So, you may have to wait awhile yet to see the final outcome.

Yorkie Lover Donating Member | I would say that I think she has a more silky coat...she might have an undercoat that is a little more cotton but overall I would consider her to be silky! By the way...she is just beautiful!!
