| Hello all! New to YT Hi! I've been busy lurking and thought it was time I joined in. I purchased a yorkie a few weeks ago from my co-worker's sister's friend. Zoe turned 20 weeks yesterday and weighs 2 pounds, 13 ounces. Although Zoe is new to my family, I'm not new to being owned by a yorkie. My Tink passed away from oral melanoma March 2011. She was 17 and was my baby for 16 1/2 years. Tink was diagnosed during a dental cleaning February 2010 and I was told she had 6 to 8 months left. I asked Tink for one more Christmas and she hung in there, acting as if she wasn't ill at all. Right after the holidays, she started going downhill. By March, I could see I was being selfish for holding on. She was no longer able to walk to her pee pee pads or stand long enough to relieve herself, no longer had an appetite, slept all day, and no longer greeted me when I arrived home. I made her as comfortable as possible, even placing my mattress on the floor so she was still able to sleep beside me and not fall off the bed. Every time I looked at her or held her, my eyes swelled with tears. Therefore my family and I picked a day, made an appointment with our vet, and made the hardest decision I ever had to make. Okay enough, my eyes are swelling. Along with Zoe, I have 2 chihuahua mixed babies (Penny, 8 years old & Cuppy, 3 years old), and my daughter has a yorkie (Chester, 13 weeks old). Thanks to all the lovely people on this board, I have a Buddy Belt Harness and Lead (thank you Kristin!), Himalayan Chews (thank you Ryan), best bully sticks, kissy face facial, yorkie shine shampoo & conditioner, Fromm kibble... and my wish list keeps getting longer. Note sure if this is going to work, but I've attached a few pictures. First one is Zoe when I picked her up at 16 weeks Second one is Zoe at 18 weeks Third is Zoe at 19 weeks, between Cuppy and Penny hugs, Joanne |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Zoe is so little! Welcome to YT ... I'm pretty new here myself. I found this community to be very welcoming and supportive of all of its members. It is definitely a great place to go to for advice or encouragement and support during the tough situations. Also just a great place to share stories and pictures of life with Yorkies! I'm the owner of two Yorkshire terrier boys named Clyde and Dexter. They are both my life! I adopted Clyde about three years ago, and I adopted Dexter less than three weeks ago! I'm so sorry about Tink. I'm sure she lived a very full and happy life with you! Zoe looks like a real sweetheart, though! I'm sure she is such a joy to have around! |

| Hi Joanne! I am so happy to see your post. Zoe is adorable and so tiny - one of my 2 tiniest BB customers. I have to do a side by side comparison picture of my Max's big harness and Zoe's miniature BB. You were blessed to have your baby Tink for so many years. I am sure it was very hard to say goodbye. Rest in peace, Tink. Zoe, Penny, and Cuppy, and your daughter's puppy Chester -- that is a great pack! Enjoy!
