| If you are interested in a puppy from any breeder, make sure you can travel there to visit the breeder and see the puppy and where it was raised, at minimum you should be able to see the mother. I cannot recommend any breeder that will ship a puppy anywhere anytime without ever meeting in person the prospective new owner and family it is going to. |

How much do you think is a reasonable price for these pups? I thought 3000 nevermind 5000 was quite ridiculous....

If you are looking for a pet from a show breeder here in western Canada including Alberta should charge no more than $1500. Also, in Canada, you should get a contract that states how much you paid, guarantees are outlined, litter number and registration number for the puppy is on it as well as Registered names and registration numbers for sire and dam should be on it. It should never be sold a purebred without registration with the CAnadian Kennel club and registration papers is always paid by the breeder. It costs on average about $60 / pup to register the litter and each puppy and do the tranfer to the new owner. There are many red flags on that site, I am not impressed with the breeding stock at all and you have to be careful they are not imported and resold making the breeder not the breeder but a broker. I think there are some breeders around Alberta, I can check and see who I can find but I am very cautious of who I recommend and be sure to check them out anyway as to genetic guarantees, policies on returning a puppy that sort of thing.

| I found three people on the Canadian Yorkshire Terrier Website CYTA - Find a Breeder You can try contacting them. I don't know them personally so do your homework too. If it doesn't sound right keep looking and I can also see what i can find for Alberta. |
