| New Name I had to change our new little ones name. I absolutely love the name Colby, but I have to change his name. My bestfriend gave me Colby because she couldn't keep him, but when her 10 year old little girl, which is my 10 year olds little girl best friend knew he was coming she named him Colby. I do not want her to come over and see a new puppy and I am calling him Colby and she figures out he was supposed to be hers. I love the name Colby, but I love this little girl more. I think we are going to name him Peyton. What do you guys think? Here is a picture of our little guy. Do you think the name Peyton fits him?

| Perhaps you could ask her to name him? Chances are she will name him Colby! Make a big deal out of it...like "awww thank you for letting me use your favorite name" etc...talk to her she will love it!

| You could ask her to help pick out names for the new puppy. And ask if Colby is still her favorite name ? You really have to word it carefully, a young child would be thrilled to name a puppy, but you want to give them PRE-SELECTED names to choose from. Good Luck !

| Here is the situation. My bestfriend acquired this little guy from a breeder. She was told that he had difficulty walking, but she wanted him anyway. She did not pay anything for him. When she picked him up he was worse then she thought he would be. She did not want to bring him home and something happen to him and her little girl be devastated, so she gave him to me. I have been working with him, and he has come a long way since I got him. He is completely healthy other than he has trouble walking. Her little girl over heard her talking to her husband about him, so she told her they had to send him back because there was something wrong with him. She already named him Colby, so that is what I have been calling him, but now my best friend is upset about me keeping that name because her little girl really likes that name and wants to use it when they find another pup. She is afraid if she knows I have a male yorkie named Colby she will put two and two together, and it would upset her. That is the last thing I want to do. I already have to hide him when she comes over. It is just a hard situation all the way around. He is used to Colby. My kids are used to calling him Colby, so now we are trying to get used to calling him something else.
