Could you post a photo of Benji so we could spread it around Facebook ? Has anyone checked those 'suggested' sites in the previous posts of yorkies FOUND ? One was found on the 27th I believe it said ! So sorry this happened, hope an honest person has Benji and taking good care, hoping to find owner. |

yes, I want everyone's help cause I have my hands full with checking shelters and websites everyday, plus caring for my 3 month old baby and my 2 1/2 year old. I wish I had more time and I wish I could be in the area were he got lost to do more, but this is how things are now, so anything that you can do to help, let me know! Ok, the hotel is the Clarion Inn Lake Buena Vista and you know what? at check out they even charged me for the pet fee for all nights, being that Bengi got lost after the 1 night. That was like being slap in the face... so hearless... I didn't say anything, cause if they didn't care to remove it, I decided to leave like that as proof of their indiference. |

My prayers for this precious dog. In California we have a Craig's list where lost pets are posted. Do you have something like that on line? Call the shelters. Find out which one they would take your dog to. Hang posters. Most people are good people and will return a lost dog to the owner. Don't give up. You had a collar around your dog's neck. They looked you in the eye, with your little Yorkie out there lost, alone, possibly wet, hungry and scared - or worse - due to their negligence and totalled up the charges for his room and board as if he were still there all those days????????????????????? I cannot remember a situation of such bad faith and breach of trust of fair trade practices! You cannot be serious!!! Thanks for posting the information on the hotel. I think we all know what to do now! |
I visited their website. They are AAA rated, I have made a review on AAA website. I would suggest everyone do the same... I posted that they lost my friends yorkie, etc. There is also information on the parent company that owns Clarion... I would suggest you contact them as well. There is a spanish saying.. the child that doesn't cry is not given milk... it is time to scream, cry and shout. |
The person who got her two Yorkies back after a year and a half had hired a detective to follow leads concerning her dogs. I know it sounds expensive but it may be your best bet. The circumstances of his disappearance are just so suspicious. The person who supposedly let him out needs to be interviewed. The motel is responsible for your loss and should be doing more for you concerning his return. I hope someone can intervene on your behalf. |
Have you considered contacting the local news channel there? Sometimes having a story like that is suddenly realized as a PR nightmare and maybe they just need to share in the nightmare that you are going through? I dont mean this in a hateful way,it may be the only way that they can find their "give a D@^^". Also you might want to start climbing the corporate ladder,until you find someone high enough up that cares. Not only should they not charge you for your stay at all,but they should be putting you up in a room for a while to give you a chance to be there and not have to do this long distance. |
This makes me so angry! They advertise on their facebook page that they have special deals for pets. Is letting them escape from a secure room included? I had to post a comment. I hope everyone on YT does the same. They shouldn't be advertising as pet friendly because they certainly are not. I feel so bad for Benji and his family ): |

I left a comment on their fb page, I suggest others do the same....I'm way up in Canada, and i'm just livid...how dare they charge you when they were the ones negligent in letting your baby get out of the room!!! They should have been jumping through hoops to apease you somewhat....that would include not charging you at all!!! One would think they don't want the negative publicity! I'm so sorry you are going through this...I really hope and pray that Bengie makes it back home soon!! |

I've been keeping an eye on this thread for any news of Benji, I hope & pray he's found very soon! Looks like a news story needs to go out there...the place you stayed @ was careless & they should be held responsible for losing him. I can't believe they charged you for his/pet stay!:thumbdown |

I posted on AAA, you need find the hotel (as if searching where to stay in that area) then when you find the hotel you can post a review... the system reads it will review the review before posting. :mad: I also posted on tripadvisor, they also stated the post will be reviewed first :mad: I'll post on Yelp too! |
i'm going to do everything i can to help get the word out there as well!!! that hotel is going to be sorry they messed you as a yt'er!!! So sorry for your family - just in tears thinking about your situation. that housekeeper/manger HAS to know more about what happened. if they were both there when the bathroom door opened they had to have seen him. he was probably alerting that he was in there. so much doesn't make sense. so sad. and that staff are beyond stupid. Stay strong! |

I just left a bad review on FB. I hope you dont mind but I added about them charging you. I am so angry and this isnt even my furr kid. how could they be so heartless and careless. I will never stay at this place. I continue to pray someone does the right thing and gets Bengi back to the family with whom he belongs. lots of hugs and lots of prayers to you and your family and mostly Bengi. |
