That is why I said even if the hotel jail breaks him and its not him I will go to Orlando and bring him home :( he just looks scared and sad but the picture is fuzzy and you can tell he needs a bath so it's really hard to tell from the picture if he has the blueish black front chest like Benji... And I am not sure how his ears were trimed when lost BUT once again his fur is dirty. |
Ok, so let's start discussing this. The lady went today and check for me. I feel that she is trustworthy cause she's been looking around for me and calling places too. She checked and said that this guys was NOT fixed. Supposedly he got fixed today, so if anybody call later in the afternoon, the people answering the phone are going to say he is NEUTERED. The link didn't say NEUTERED before, but it does say it now. What I don't understand is why someone here is saying that a person they talked to said that HE CAME THAT WAY. I'm going nuts here!!!! |
Does he really look like your Bengi to you? |

I think the pending application for him may have been there before she said she was sending the hotel employee out. The thing is, it may not be Benji. But the odds that there is a yorkie in the Orlando shelter that came in on Nov 1 and looks very similar to him sure makes the odds go up that it could be him. I'd find a way to know for absolute 100% certain if it was my dog that was lost. |

lets say it was a mistake and it may be him do you think they will admit it was a mistake??? Not everyone is like us that believes our babies should be with us! I hate to be so negative but I just dont trust anyone :( I wish I could go there myself !!!!!!!!! Lord please help! |
Ok everybody. I just talked to this girl. She knows about dogs, she worked at a vet's office. When we where talking earlier today she was with him and looked at this yorkie and she said it was for sure NOT neutered, also he was a very young dog cause she looked at his teeth and Bengi is 6 years old. She also told me that a lot of volunteers work at the shelter and answer the phone and sometimes don't have all the information. It still bothers me why they would say something if don't know if it's true |
Have they tried calling his name to see how he reacts?? |
Did they state weight when you called? Does the hotel lady know to look for the odd claw you stated before? Does she even know the breed to know a happy yorkie has ears up and a scared and sad yorkie could have his ears down and look completely different because they show their emotions??? |

If Ellie calls the manager and asks her to find out if that dog had surgery today as it might be her longlost dog she's been searching the country for and lots of people are involved and waiting to hear, maybe she will get the truth since likely they have a lot of dogs and confusion probably does reign in that hectic, overwrought atomosphere. Just getting whether a particular dog is neutered or not wrong isn't a biggie that they should try to hide or anything. Or, she could call the police, the local SPCA, the local Humane Society, I guess and report that that is very likely her lost dog but it could be mistakenly sold without their intervention perhaps - anything to stop the process of adoption until she finds out more. Or go to court and get an injunction to stop the adoption until he's checked for whether he could be Bengi, but she'd have to appear in court there, I'm sure. Surely his dental records from the vet could help if he really looks like the other dog - that and his actual neuter situation and whether he was neutered today or not. I wish I lived in Florida!!! |
It is common for shelters not to look at the information they have about missing dogs. They have so many volunteers and part time workers that change from day to day that you just cannot count on shelter staff to call you if your dog shows up. Call daily. Better yet if you have someone who can check daily or every other day you will be more likely to get your dog back if he shows up at a shelter. |
Also his physical dimentions. His length, his neck size, leg length. That could be a little dog and Bengi and bigger one - or viceversa. Does this one have dewclaws and Bengi not? |
Since it says he has a pending application, what are they saying about when he would be adopted and leave the shelter? Would he possibly still be there on Saturday? Is there anyway you could drive up again and see for yourself before they adopt him out? Then you would know for certain. I know it is a hardship, but that may be the only way you will know for sure and it may be your only chance if by some miracle it is really him. |
The Op said she tried calling the news station but had no luck. I think if everyone posts on Clarions FB that THEY (Clarion ) needs to contact the media, maybe they will. Things like this are often on the news so why not this??? I think someone has Bengi & has no intention of parting with him, BUT if Bengi is all over the TV News then maybe someone who knows where he is will call & report it. I honestly feel this is the only hope of Bengi being reunited with his family. JMHO |
this is so sad... i hope you find him :( |
Don't give up hope! Don't give up hope, miracles happen! I'm praying every day that Bengi comes home to you. http://dl10.glitter-graphics.net/pub...fd97exd4em.gif |

I talked to a supervisor at the shelter - her name was Linda. She called me back after I left a voicemail inquiring about the yorkie they have. She said that he was definitely neutered "today" (which is yesterday now) and that is when they changed the wording on the ad to say "neutered." I wasn't suspect to anything in her tone and she was very helpful and called way after hours so I was thankful for that. I really wanted this to be Bengi - REALLY REALLY. I don't think it is based on this info and based on what Ellie a few posts up - his age. We just all have to keep praying and keep doing all we can do. (I still hope someone will go look at this doggie in person..just for final peace of mind on that). |
Ach - too bad. So hoping. Well, he's still out there waiting somewhere. Who knows how or when he may turn up. Must keep hope for Bengi's return. |
Keeping the faith :hands: |
I keep checking back on this thread to see if Bengi has been found. Please do NOT give up hope! Baxter and Cooper were found 18 months after being stolen from their home... Keep looking! |
This is hard and it gets harder as time passes by. I miss my baby boy so much :( Please keep praying! |
I'll continue to pray for his safe return. I'm so sorry. Let's not give up hope and faith that he will be found. Just keep getting the word out there. Keep it fresh for as long as you are able. The more it is made public, more people will know about him. Never give up. Prayers being said for you and your family. |
