| I love our new little puppy :) I feel like such a little kid saying that. LoL We have had her since Sunday but it feels like she has always been here. She is fitting in so well, our old cat is still iffy on her but he is an old sstinker. Lol She and our female border collie pla- don't worry Penny is super gentle with her and its only for a few minutes at a time. Our big dogs trained with little dogs and most of their dog friends are little. She has so much personality and has won over my DH- it's so cute. I'm having a few problems- not big ones but anymeans: I have a portion of our kitchen sectioned off for her(I'm crate training when I leave her and at night and she loves her crate) anyway, this area has her toys water etc in it, but if I or my DH leave this area and her ib it- she cries and cries. It's not like we go far, just to the table or elsewhere in the kitchen. Am I doing this right? We did it with the other two and they were fine. The breeder carried her everywhere and I don't want that. The other is leash training- which is the best halter for her? |

| Congratulations on your new puppy! I've had Max for almost 4 years and I still wake up thinking how much I love him. When you have her sectioned off in the kitchen, can she see you? Usually if they can see you, they are okay. She probably wants to be underfoot at all times. I trained my boys to know that when the humans sit at the table to eat, the doggies have to do their own thing. Ignore the crying and she will eventually stop. If you give in once, she will know that crying gets her what she wants. ETA: my boys have beds under the table and that is where they go when we are eating. Good luck and enjoy!

| Yorkies are a breed that tend to follow their people everywhere in the house. They are curious, nosy, and like to be involved in everything. That doesn't mean she has to be in your arms. Regarding the halter...My favorite is Canada's own Buddy Belt. There are many retailers in Canada.

| That makes sense. My other dogs follow me around all the time and usually the cats are close somewhere. I'm talking about a section of my kitchen that I have set up like a play pen. She cries when she's in it. If we are there with her she's fine and will do all those puppy things. As soon yhough as we leave her alone in it, and are just a few feet away, she freaks out. She won't play or anything. I'm not trying to be mean, heck she even helped me clean out thr kitty litter earlier, so 98% of the time she is with us, it's just that other 2% like during supper or going to the bathroom and other such things. |

| It breaks my heart hearing her cry, but I also want her to be a confident puppy on her own for a few minutes. |

| How old is she? You have only had her a few days so she probably is still home sick. Dogs are really pack animals and are bonded with their family. She is going to be insecure and scared for a while. She is a baby. If she is starting to bond with you she is going to want to be with you. Yorkies tend to think they are a part of the family and expect to be treated that way. |
