other breeds that get along with YOrkies I'm thinking of getting another puppy to keep Tigger entertained and to love on and spoil, but I'm not sure which breed would be right for a yorkie who is six months of age. any suggestions? I'd like it to stay small, maybe 10 lbs or under.

A very sub-serviant one!!! Most small breeds will get along with Yorkies (or LARGE breeds for that matter) as long as they realize who is the boss..

I would love nothing more to get another YOrkie preferrably a female (so she can be all cute and femmie) but right now I really don't have the money. I'm looking into going to a shelter and looking there, but don't know where any are. Most I've found are in the thousands. I'm not cheap, but I don't want to spend an outrageous amount of money.

From what I read, a male/female combination is supposed to get along better than 2 females or 2 males. I can't say whether this is actually true or not from personal experience, but thought I'd share anyway.

My pit bull and my pom seems to be getting along great with my 5 months old yorkie. I think you should get a big dog so you can have the best of both world.
