| Thundershirt for anxiety Has anyone successfully used Thundershirt for their dogs? Anybody used it and it didn't work? A little background: I have two dogs who had not so good starts to their lives. Smokey is the main one that has some serious anxiety issues. He came to us at 6 months old after being born in a puppy mill and shifted from pet store to home, to home, to home, back to the second home, then to us, all in 6 months. He's been with us now 5 years and we have tried everything under the sun. He is particularly attached to me and can not be left alone at all. It's not pretty. Chip was sold to us by a broker before we knew better and came from an Amish puppymill in Lancaster, PA. We were lied to and was told that he was 9 weeks and he was really 7 weeks. You could tell by the way he was acting that he had never been handled by humans and if he had, he wasn't treated nicely. He also did not know how to chew kibble at all and almost died the day after he came home from a hypoglycemia attack from not eating. He is comfortable only around the people he knows well, but reacts in aggression, if he feels uncomfortable being approached by someone or he hides behind me. We worked really hard to socialize him as a young pup and he really has come a long way since we brought him into our home, but he definitely could relax some. I was just wondering what the reviews were on the Thundershirt and trying to decide if it might help my boys or not.

| The Thundershirt works for my Teddy for storms, and it relaxes both of my boys on walks. For general anxiety, this product that Patti used with her girls may be more what you are looking for to help Chip and Smokey: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...ne-worked.html
