Zoey is 9 months old , she still a baby. yes the neglect was so obvious when she I got her out of the carrier.. they only had her for 5 months, I am so glad she is home and safe, I have a few families interested in adopting her but I am leaning to the family closest to me..LOL

I don't blame you for favoring the closer to you family.

This must be a breeder's nightmare and I can see now why despite sometimes desperate for adopters rescues only adopt locally.

In the end at least she did the right thing returning her to you.

Not the rescues around me, I know families from out of state that have adopted my my local Noah's Ark rescue. they do adopt out of state here .
I think it was the husband, he did not want to burn his bridges with me, since I dog sit my puppies for when my parents go on vacations, work trips, etc..
so i know now by an email that he wrote me yesterday that he was the one who told her he was going to call me and return Zoey to me. which I deeply apreciate. I have not seen or heard from that woman since she took her home that day, he on the other hand emailed me yesterday to check on Zoey.
that is so weird to me.. I did tell him that she was matted, underweight and neglected and send him the pictures. I have not heard from him after that.. maybe I was a bit rude, but I was so angry. oh well, I just hope he keeps taking care of Dexter the same..

Oh Carmen...I am so glad Zoey is back in your loving arms! How sad is it that someone won't take the time to care for their dog? I just had surgery to remove a plate in my leg and I have continued to take care of my dear Bentley's coat and teeth.

Zoey looks so happy to be in her dress and it is amazing how she remembers your home. What a sweetheart she is! I think you are wonderful to have your return policy because now she is safe and sound now!
