| Stick with Pixie. I absolutely love that name. Our first little chihuahua was named Pixie. She looks like a Pixie to me!

| Pixie it is!!! Has anyone seen the rhinestone letters you can use to spell out their name on their collars? Pet Co has them and I ran right out and bought her name! She will have the Silver sparkle PIXIE on her collar!!! I just can't wait to have her home with me!!! Jan 10th can't come soon enough!!! And yes we will have to set up play dates with anyone here in Northern California!!! I would love to meet some of you! As for her weight.... 2lbs and 5 ozs at 15 weeks. Would that make her 4 and a half as an adult?? Oh! I am in a bit of a contest where I live... its a door decorating contest! The grand prize is a $250.00 gift cert to any shop in Petaluma. There is a cute little pet speciality shop downtown that has a ton of amazing stuff! Clothes galore! And everything you could ever think of... its just crazy how much stuff they have, no food, just frilly fun stuff that no one really needs but that we all want and must have! If I win..... I hope I hope I hope, I am going to get the cert for that store so I can further spoil PIXIE!!!!! Wish me luck! I'll post after the party tonight, thats when they will announce the winner! Cross your paws for me!

| Love the name. Any chance that Pixie in Pink will be shortened to PIP?? Just kiddin'. Now, a downer, maybe. Be very cautious about the use of a collar on any Yorkie. best to use a harness. Always remember to take the collar of if you are away from her for even a minute. It takes only one short minute to do real harm to them when wearing a collar. Okay, I am not trying to be a meanie, but the collar issue is a very big one when it comes to the safety of our precious souls.. |

| I never kept a collar on my Bamse Bjorn... He wore a harness. But for dress up occassions a collar if fine if well supervised. I don't beleive in taking chances. I would never leave it on he full time... Besides, the whole collar put together ran me 56 dollars... so its a dress up thing! Not an everyday wearing collar. I do have a harness for her that will have her ID on it. It reads: PIXIE (760) 218-0090 REWARD I have put reward on every tag I have ever had printed, it has saved me more than once! The reward is very tempting to someone who might otherwise keep your baby! I had a landlord let Bamse out once and not even call to tell me! It was the gal who called about the reward who informed me.... She called right away! I was so upset, I did not even know he was missing! Pixie is also microchipped, which is nice in case someone does try to keep her. I lost my very first Yorkie to a Baby Sitter. I had her for 2 weeks... The baby sitter left with her under her shirt... I niticed the minute she left and called the police... They visited her in her home and she did have the pup and her parrents claimed that it was a birthday present that they got her.... With out a tattoo or microchip the police said that I had NO PROOF! even though I had her AKC pappers and a ton of pictures of her.... I was out of luck! Crazy.... I never did get the pup back. I insist on a microchip now... it would have gotten me Pebbles back in an instant that night! Talk about hindsight being 20/20.......

| that is outrageous!!! that a person would steal someone else's pet like that. and for that babysitter's parents to go along with the theft. some people have absolutely no morals!!! i was just telling my mom that if she takes bunjee out she needs to be careful. there are people who will just steal yorkies because they're cute and pricier than an average pup. bunjee's getting microchipped in feb. until then, he's not getting out of my sight! |

You may not have had to even get an attorney. Possibly a police supervisor or higher rank would have gotten you the puppy back.

| It was weeks of trying to get her back! Bottom line in California 10 years ago.... without proper identification I had no proof. I did visit with a lawer who asked if I had her chipped or tatooed... I did harass the captian and even our mayor who is above the police dept. they all told me that with out one of the two means of IDing the pup, that I had no way to prove that the puppy was mine... That pure bred dogs look like pure bred dogs.... most look exactly alike. Even special sopts or markings are not a "finger print" Bad memories!! I learned my lesson!!! Won't ever happen again!!! But on to a better subject!!!! I won the contest!!! I get a Gift Cert for "My Best Friend" A speciality pet store in the amount of $250.00 Can you beleive it!!!! I am so jazzed I can't see straight!!! I get it on Monday!!! Yeah!I am mentally spending it as I type! lol
