Cute and it looks like a Yorkie to me. I think all Yorkie pups have short hair. But since they have Morkies - make sure it's not a blended dog if you don't want one.

Please educate me AJBoogie, on exactly WHO and WHICH posts YOU are calling "HATEFUL" and "JUDGEMENTAL"....I have re-read the posts and I am sorry but I am not able to find even ONE that I would consider "hateful" or "judgemental". I think we would all appreciate YOUR invaluable input and definition of EXACTLY what qualifies as "hateful" and "judgemental"....obviously, most of the responders were very carefully trying to politely educate the poster about questionable registeries, back yard breeders, puppy mills, and brokers, along with the concerns about purchasing cheap/underpriced Yorkies, and yet, YOU have called these rather demure attempts to inform the poster of concerns they are well aware of, as "hateful" and "judgemental". I want to see exactly what you consider hateful and judgemental.....please, YOU educate us! After all, some of us have only been doing this for 30-40 years, and have seen all the pitfalls....have lived thru the pitfalls.....and to have their honest and very politically correct responses catagorized as hateful and judgemental, is rather perplexing. Is it NOW that, anything said, that anyone does not agree with, now defined by some, as hateful or judgemental?????.......Please, enlighten us....

OP....I think your question has been answered a couple of times in the above posts. You can use the information that was given to you on this thread by experienced yorkie owners and breeders or you can ignore it. The choice is yours. If I were you, I would heed the warning about this breeder. The puppy may only cost you $250 but you could end up spending thousands in vet bills if this puppy is not healthy or has genetic issues. As one poster said, you get what you pay for. Good luck to you.

Hmbundy - our members are free to respond how they like, whether the answer is what you were hoping for or not, okay? Please refrain from telling other members how they may respond. We have people here who've seen more/heard more than they'd like to in regard to yorkies - and therefore, they're here to share some of the reasons why it can be incredibly important to be careful about from whom you buy a living, breathing puppy. If some members go to the site which *you* posted and they see some red flags - I sure hope they'd post concerns if it were me in your shoes! They're here to try and help you...they're taking time out of their day to post in your thread. Why not be grateful they care enough to post, and maintain an open mind about what's being said? You asked for feedback, and they're giving it.

You will get your pup from whomever you want -- but I will say this: she claims to be a 'small breeder' -- look at ALL those birth dates of pups. That is *not* a small breeder. Which is a concern bc if she is breeding indiscriminately, you have *no* idea what you could be signing up for healthwise. And believe me, I know about this firsthand, with my first yorkie Wylie.


So you're criticizing folks for being judgmental in the same sentence where you're actually being judgmental? Members are welcome to share their opinions here, this is a forum; I've read every post in this thread and no one has been hateful. I would advise you to back off from the kinds of comments you're making toward members today. Instead, if you have helpful advise to offer...feel free to give it. If you want to discuss other members' feedback on this thread, then you need to take a different route in doing so.

I do like honesty though - so since you're asking me to be honest, my honest hope is that you set an example for yourself as to how you think you should communicate in a way to ALL members that is *not* rude, name calling, confrontational, and condescending. No one is really going to listen to you when you accuse them of doing the exact same things you're doing. If you think better communication is needed, then communicate better *yourself*, even when you're ticked off.

Response on Coat - 9.5wk old puppy depicted has a "lot" of coat for 9.5 wks old. Of course the pics are not that "clear". It looks like a "soft" coat from the pics. Unlikely to grow to the desired silk coat.

I also concur with the cautions posted earlier about this breeder's site. Too many puppies with varying birthdates, cross breeds, disreputable registry, no health warranty posted, etc.

I'm still in my learning phase, as I'm "old" enough to know that your never to old to learn. So here's my question, wouldn't it be hard to know how a puppy's coat will grow out etc if your not sure about the actual "breed" of the puppy?
