Cute and it looks like a Yorkie to me. I think all Yorkie pups have short hair. But since they have Morkies - make sure it's not a blended dog if you don't want one. |

If you didn't want any opinions why the heck did you post??? Sheez!!!!!!!! |
[QUOTE=AJBoogie;4031489]OK, Once again HMM it's a chill pill kinda day !! |
OP....I think your question has been answered a couple of times in the above posts. You can use the information that was given to you on this thread by experienced yorkie owners and breeders or you can ignore it. The choice is yours. If I were you, I would heed the warning about this breeder. The puppy may only cost you $250 but you could end up spending thousands in vet bills if this puppy is not healthy or has genetic issues. As one poster said, you get what you pay for. Good luck to you. |
[QUOTE=AJBoogie;4031489]OK, Now I remember you. You came on and caused a BIG STINK before and sent several members horrible PM's. And now your back again after a little delay. OH My !!! |

You will get your pup from whomever you want -- but I will say this: she claims to be a 'small breeder' -- look at ALL those birth dates of pups. That is *not* a small breeder. Which is a concern bc if she is breeding indiscriminately, you have *no* idea what you could be signing up for healthwise. And believe me, I know about this firsthand, with my first yorkie Wylie. I do like honesty though - so since you're asking me to be honest, my honest hope is that you set an example for yourself as to how you think you should communicate in a way to ALL members that is *not* rude, name calling, confrontational, and condescending. No one is really going to listen to you when you accuse them of doing the exact same things you're doing. If you think better communication is needed, then communicate better *yourself*, even when you're ticked off. If you have any further comments about this, PM Admin directly. Please allow this topic to continue on the actual topic. Thanks. |
So anyway, let's get back to the topic of trying to help the OP with their questions. :) |
@AJ Boogie: Response on Coat - 9.5wk old puppy depicted has a "lot" of coat for 9.5 wks old. Of course the pics are not that "clear". It looks like a "soft" coat from the pics. Unlikely to grow to the desired silk coat. I also concur with the cautions posted earlier about this breeder's site. Too many puppies with varying birthdates, cross breeds, disreputable registry, no health warranty posted, etc. |
I'm still in my learning phase, as I'm "old" enough to know that your never to old to learn. So here's my question, wouldn't it be hard to know how a puppy's coat will grow out etc if your not sure about the actual "breed" of the puppy? |

When I see puppies priced at $250-$300ish I always wonder "what's wrong with him/her". Maybe it's just me, but I just went back and looked at the site posted to try and be objective about the coats, but again I wonder what's wrong with the little guy that he's priced so low and others aren't? Is it just because of his coat:confused:? |
You can choose to purchase from this person if you want but someone with that many pups has to be a puppy broker and puppy brokers dont know anything about the dog lines and if their is health problems in those lines so a cheap yorkie may cost you alot of money in vet bills. I quess its a risk only you can decide if you want to take |
Loaded Commerce - Pages Here is there puppy farm/puppy mill...these people are degerates and are established puppy millers... I have no kind words here...please tag what you will for future puppy owners and YT members.... |
OP we are a community of Yorkie/dog lovers, we do care where they come from and safe to say none of us condone puppy mills and the tragic lives of the pups being held in awful conditions for the sake of manufacturing puppies for unsuspecting animal lovers. Many of us have watched our pups suffer because of the breeding of places like this, some of us have lost pets because of these people...ALL of us who have been through this wish to goodness we had found YT before we fell prey to their disgusting business'....YOU have, by joining Yorkietalk, been given a wealth of knowledge and experience that many of us did not have...if you choose to purchase your pup you are taking a huge gamble with falling in love with a pup who may give you years of heartache or even die. It is a fact that few puppymill dogs don't have "issues"...furthermore, by knowingly purchasing a pup from a place like this you are perpetuating the tragedy of puppymills, surely you don't want to do that? I understand that you don't have alot of cash...but save up and purchase a pup from a reputable breeder, in the long run you will save a fortune and yourself alot of heartache.... Koedam Kennels is Patspups.com...please, please, please...don't do it.... |
You gotta love the ones who say I want advice and then scream and cry about the advice people give them because its not what they wanted to hear.... OP: By all means, that puppy is going to grow out a gorgeous silky show coat, is going to be a small 5-6 pound pup and will never have a health problem in it's entire life. That price is a steal and you should rush right over and snatch that puppy up before someone else gets him and you miss out!! There, is that what you wanted? Rainbows and sunshine and for us to blow smoke up your butt??? (and THAT is sarcasm and condescension and I'm not afraid to admit it) |
One other thing, as to the original question, as far as the hair of this pup...because it is a puppymill pup there are so many possiblities as to what the pup will eventually look like (never mind physical aspects)...I have seen black dogs turn white upon maturity, fluffy dogs fine, fine dogs fluffy...it really is almost impossible at that too young of an age to be adopted, tell what the fur will eventually be like....or even the coloring.. |
