| treadwheel...got one... I purchased a pet treadwheel from gopetusa, and received it a day ago. Emy actually goes in it by herself and starts walking on it....she actually likes it I think, cause she's dragging her toys on it and taking pieces of food and dropping it in it and laying down and eating it!!..the first day I got it (tuesday), she actually got right in it when I held a treat in front of her nose and controlled the wheel with my leg...yesterday she actually got on it and ran!!, I always stay right next to it when she's walking until she gets totally used to it..I don't let her walk on it for more than a minute right now, but she will at least get some exercise this winter when I'm not going to go for a walk. I will talk a video and post it if I figure out how to post a video....it was pricey, but for me, it was worth it, very well made, smallest one they make, its perfect for a yorkie...youtube has some videos of dogs on one if anyone wants to check it out..made by gopet...called gopet treadwheel. |

| I saw it in Cesars Way magazine that I subscribe to, so I went to their website www.gopetusa.com and did alot of emailing to the company asking questions, then took the plunge, I'm glad I did, she really likes it, takes her toys in it, trys to walk with them, but I take them away cause I don't want her tripping or anything.....its so cute... |

| That's sooo cute! Love the video, too. What a great idea. I got Lexie to go on the human treadmill at the gym. She seemed so intrigued watching me on it, so I tried her on it. Took to it right away. (my gym is dog-friendly, LOL!)

a dog friendly gym, now that is a first, Do they have a website, it would be cool if they had pictures of the gym with the dogs.

| Cute! After having to negotiate with Barney for months to do his hydrotherapy, I'm pretty certain he'd stand there and not move. Not too sure my others would comply either. But, it's a pretty cool concept!!

| Emy gets in it by herself, but she doesn't run for long..then she jumps out...I want her to get on it at least 3 times a day for very short periods, if I have to hold a little treat in front of her nose, she will actually break into a run....I don't have the training door on it, so I stand with my left hand out along side her not touching her, just in case she gets off track...she runs to the right all the time...funny..guess she's right handed.....she doesnt run to the left ...maybe once she turned around and started walking but she jumped out...she drags her toy in it...and also has taken a mouthful of food and laid down inside it and proceeded to eat her food....so guess she's comfortable with it....I still watch very closely to make sure she doesn't fly off it for some reason while she's walking, though she controls her speed and when she slows down or stops it slows down and stops...when I say to her 'want to walk?' and hold my fingers inside the wheel, she jumps in and starts walking....sometimes she just holds on to my finger and walks, kinda cute......keeps her straight... |
