Jersey went to the vet today, and now weighs in at 4.6lbs. at 15wks!
She did great, vet says she is very healthy, as she was fighting him, while he was trying to check her teeth. Not a peep for her shot...he told me that the lepto vaccine is reactive so he recommends i dont give it to her...yippee! Thanks for that info YT! Looks like this new vet I found is up to speed...also recommended I not get Kennel Cough, as she does not go to day care, or dog park (my info), so not needed, she is not at risk.
He has lots of experience with yorkies and other small breeds....asked what Jersey is mixed with. Sorry Dr. for laughing at you, but the look on your face when I told you she is a purebred was simply priceless!!
There is now a picture of Jersey posted in his office as the official first Biewer he had ever seen!!!
You go Jersey!!

Omg..she is so adorable. Which vet did you take her to? Wow..she looks so similar to Wallee it isn't funny..lol..

Makowal Animal Hospital on Taunton, he has an office in Oshawa as well, Simcoe something or other...cant remember now. He's pricey but I like him, far better than Brimley Lawrence....Thanks Cindy...little firecracker trying to run the house....lol

Thanks Tracy! Miss Raelle is SO not amused!!! She steers clear of her at all costs...She has now escalated to a warning snap and growl...Jersey pays her no mind at all...they are the same size now and its pretty funny...Raelle is like 'Who is this interloper...seriously mom, she's stayin, for real???'
She'll roll her eyes and walk off....Omgosh I swear Raelle is human, got a real attitude! LOL!!

Lol that would be Georgie! He acts that way when my niece brings over her sweet girl Olivia. I swear he is like "ok Mom when is she leaving?" Lol

Oh no lol. Well maybe once she realizes that Jersey really is staying for good and your not just puppy sitting or pulling her leg, maybe she will at least not snap and growl. But being somewhat of a Diva myself I can honestly say the "eye roll" will be sticking around lol that's how "we" communicate!

That's so funny about the Biewer informing of the vet!

My vet noted how rare Elvis was and said she didn't get to see many Biewers as they're such a rare breed.
When I told her Elvis was a purebred AKC yokie she looked puzzled, I said he's just a parti yorkie...she laughed at me!
The receptionist had a good laugh too apparently their pc system notes the breed and the coloration...they don't hace a parti yorkie option on the software so Elvis is listed as a Biewer Yorkie mix!!!

So glad you too found a small breed vet, makes so much a difference IMHO.
