| Better yet, if you have a puppy and have stairs.. you should TEACH/ TRAIN your puppy how to use the stairs rather then keep them away- That way when they get older they are aware on how to use them.

| My kamikaze doggies are blocked from the stairs because I know that if the doorbell rang, they would tumble down the stairs trying to beat each to the door. Max would probably take the shortcut, jumping from the second floor landing to the foyer. I carry my big boys upstairs and downstairs. They enjoy the ritual, Max riding in "the boat," folded up in his bed, and Teddy with his front paws braced on Max's side.
